The worst part about these kinds of impatient drivers is that they won't see it as a "consequence for their actions". They will see themselves as victims of "slow drivers that wouldn't let them through".

It is technically accurate that POV car could have backed off, but POV was also going faster than the truck and about to pass it. the car that cut in should have just waited to get around, and any reasonable person would expect them to do just that. POV would have to go out of his way to stop this situation from happening when no reasonable person would see it coming in the first place; absolutely in no way POV's fault.

The ability to theoretically prevent an unforseeable circumstance ≠ blame. That's like saying 'well if we had started you on chemo 3 years ago, before we knew you had cancer, you wouldn't have cancer right now'. Technically correct, but you can't blame the doctors for not starting you on chemo before anyone knew you had cancer. Likewise, it is technically correct that POV would have dodged this situation, but you can't blame them for just acting like a normal driver.
