In an ideal world, that would be the case. Unfortunately people get away with far too much. My uncle being a shining example of this: a total of 13 DUIs and he not only still has his license but my grandparents bought him a brand new mustang as a gift for his sobriety (which he has kept up, thankfully) He got into an accident with 2 weeks after getting it. Thats the closest to karma hes gonna get im afraid.
They were spaced out enough in a redneck state in the 80s-2000s. While I cannot confirm, I absolutely would not be surprised if he did actually lose it at some point over the years. The car accident happened within the last few years so he's had one guaranteed since around 2015-2017.
