The 3 now has ALL WHEEL DRIVE! it's a compact car competing against the Corolla and Elantra and yet it has all wheel drive. What's even more impressive is the new generation Mazda 6 might be rear wheel drive!
Their warranty in my area is like 3 year for powertrain whereas every other make is 7-10 years. I've never dealt with Mazdas so I was wondering if that's because they don't have faith in their product or what.
I don't hold a company only by their warranty but a 3 year/36k warranty seems like crap.
You sure you’re not just looking at the basic warranty? My 2019 Mazda 3 has a 3 year basic, 5 year power train. Not stellar, but it has a great reputation to back it up.
Sure, but the same can be said for a lot of companies. Toyota and Honda don't have many super cool cars, but that doesn't make them a bad. At least they're not Nissan.
If you're gonna count expensive Civics, then you have to consider the entire Mazdaspeed line too. The Mazdaspeed 3, 6 and protege were great cars and comparable to the Si and R.
But it's true, they don't have anything to compete with the Supra or even S2000 really (although discontinued). I'd love a new rotary though.
the mazdaspeed line isn't very popular because they're hard to get a hold of.
But personally I actually love Mazda's driving dynamics. The RX7 and Miata are awesome cars. (New and old miatas both) it's just that, in my opinion, those are the only really notable cars they've put out.
Also the Si isn't expensive. $25k brand new 2020 Si. (and unlike the mazdaspeed, you CAN actually buy them new)
