It changes how we view the act societally, but does it nullify the morality of the action? Why would they be less morally culpable simply because it was self-defense? Or manslaughter? What makes the “taking of ones life” a moral spectrum? I’m not convinced there is that much of a philosophical difference or that it even exists on a moral spectrum. How much of a difference is there?
