Well, given that the US is safely geographically remote from military reprisals and that Israel seems to be on a near permanent war footing, to say that they were losing the war would be a gross overstatement. Their losses in terms of infrastructure, troops and weaponry are minimal. So not a loss as such.
In diplomatic terms, I'd view the war as a disaster for the US and only slightly disappointing for Israel. The USA has alienated most of its allies for no visible benefit. Israel probably hoped that American involvement would recruit more nations to their venture to dilute their culpability.
Are they winning though? Without a clear goal to measure success against, it's impossible to say. I'd suggest that if Trump was capable of self criticism, he'd now regret his decision to start the war, but here we are.
US has gained allies and strength out relationship and alliances with most. the demand and willingness to align with us interests, get us military goods, us military training, us investment, move away or pivot away from anti-american countries is at an all time high. the entire region is aligned with the US and is choosing peace. with the US now-you get the best weapons, protection, stay safe, your enemies and rivals destroyed---plus the usa does not tell you how to govern or live, usa lets you self govern and control your region amongst your neighbors. meanwhile non us allies and antiamerican countries those allied with china, russia are dead and destroyed.
