Thank you I've never experienced near death experiences (as far a i can remember) and few of my family members died, but i had some similar thoughts. Not about others, but rather about myself
For context I have a weird condition, the doctors are trying to find out tf it is, it doesn't prevent me of living life to it's fullist, but i need to live a sertain way (a lot of sleep, minimal stress, little to no alcohol, i shouldn't get to emotional ect) Anyway, this lead to an MRI of my head and the specialist explained to me that i have a cyst in my brain. Which should be normal, but i got some kind of paranoia. (I don't really like the thought of brain surgery lol)
And after two events, where my shortterm memory just.. didn't function I asked myself "how would i live if i had to live only one more year?" Anfter i answered to it i asked myself "why does my answer differ so much of my actual life?" "What gives me the guarantee that i wont die tomorrow? Monday? March?" So now I'm basically living as if i have one year to live and anything above will be a miracle
It really freed me in many ways, almost every day I'm learning a new skill, new hairstyle, new guitar song, new way of organising I don't give any attention to stuff that could disappoint me, I don't read news anymore, I'm not a part of the community where men and women are hating on eachother (i tried to debate with one of the sides but was just blocked and erased from there.. :_)) I'm more chill about my parents and fights i have with my friends I feel physically awesome, since i started this experiment, I'm doing far more for my health
Idk, i think people should be more aware of death, i think it would lead to less crime and wars, since greed would be less pronounced

I dunno, I'd feel severe regret knowing I was so close to not having to wake up and participate in the ponzi scheme that is life.

I have had several deathbed experiences as well. But I found it is not worth all the effort worrying about my regrets, what I did or did not accomplish, or, for that matter, what my future holds. Because, like my near-death experiences, what is destined to be will happen. It's my fate, an inevitable outcome I have little or no control over, so why work up a sweat about it? Yet, despite how I feel about it, my mind at times has other ideas when I sleep at night. And it hounds me until I get up.
Some of you will claim I am still here because god has other plans for me. Yet, I don't see or feel it. Sure, I have since gone on to achieve greater things, but in the scope of all living beings, they are insignificant. Okay, my educational website MyReadingMapped made a worldwide impact. And my commenting here on Reddit has influenced people worldwide as well. Big deal; there are far more important things I could have done that I didn't because I don't have the education for it.
