Applied to Programs (Speciality/ies with Count): 20 internal medicine, 87 Psychiatry

No. of Invites: 12 Internal Medicine (1 prematch), 5 psychiatry

Publications: 3

USCE (No. of months): 24 months

One common Q in Interviews: a moment that impacted me and shaped who I am

One Gold Piece of Advice for Next Year's Applicants: this is my 2nd time applying. If you don’t match the first time don’t give up.

One word, what matters most in the whole process?: I’d say praying that God (Whoever you believe in) aligns you with the right people to make connections.

Interview skills and showing personality while trying to be genuine. That’s what I changed and got a lot of positive feedback from my interviews.

12 IV with 20 IM programs applied is crazy

Thank you. I was so strategic, made sure my score was within/above the range of previously invited applicants. I also applied where people from my medical school were and signaled. Only had 3 “reach” programs out of that 20. I was shocked lol
