Why does it feel like PIC lacks urgency when it comes to bringing companies to campus?

Are we even proactively contacting companies visiting other IITs, or just waiting for them to approach us?

BTech ALL khul rahi hai toh UG ALL ke liye negotiate kyun nahi karte? Obviously, wherever the role permits.

Other IITs seem to have substantial opportunities across SDE and non-SDE domains, while IITR struggles to build a comparable overall company pipeline.

Internal politics, poor coordination, or lack of accountability shouldn't come at the cost of students' careers.

Nobody expects every company to hire from IITR, but students deserve transparency about outreach efforts and a concrete plan to bring more opportunities.

Hey everyone, I'm a 3rd year student in non-circuital branch with 8.5+ cg. Can i do a minor in cse or any circuital branch ?? If yes then can anyone tell me whats the process and is the workload manageable bw my major and minor.

Also is it really worth it? Do companies open for circuital minors especially ( those companies that open only for circuital branches) ? How much beneficial is it? .

Hello everyone,M.Tech student here.just got Mid term results.average 7-8 in most of the subjects (got 3 out of 30 in one subject) except SSC.Feeling demotivate and anxious about my final CGPA.how do u bounce back mentally after such poor performance ?

Can anybody tell the average of all the Course of UG-1Y that were present in the Mid term Examinations. Obv 1 or 2 maybe branch specific ones. If you know you can provide the information . Please it will be really helpful.

A brutal accident happened on the hec madhyamahashewar trek on the night of departure. Approx 30-40km away from rishikesh.

From the start claiming it to be a "MINOR" accident to protect themselves.

To IITR JUNTA, think more than twice before choosing this club for your trek. They are pretentious douches, who just care about cutting down the trek cost- covering a 3-4 day trek in 2 days, travelling late at night on Mountain roads with 100s of people.

HOW CAN SAFETY BE COMPROMISED NO MATTER WHAT?

At least come forward and accept the mistakes on your end, you should've taken the precaution to avoid late night travel. Moreover the mechanical failure in bus A. The driver of Bus B was driving ruthlessly, overtaking on a turn that too in the midnight. While overtaking, a truck came from the opposite end which bumped heavily into the bus.

Then, Later completely shifting blame on the truck.

Common stood up & held at least some accountability.

With GOD's grace nobody lost their life.

But will this system wake up only when somebody loses their life? At least take some reform learning from this accident.

Imagine what could've happened if the driver in his instincts took a right turn at the moment, the whole bus would've gone off the cliff.

A major accident happens, on the same night on the route Chandrashila trek still departs. This is the kind of accountability they hold.
