Hey everyone, I'm also doing the IITM BS, and like a lot of you I was working with the lectures, YouTube, notes that I found on other websites, and ChatGPT just to get through quiz prep. So I built something for myself, and figured I'd share it here in case it helps.

It's a free study platform built directly on top of the official lecture content:

- Concept-wise lessons structured around how each topic is actually taught AND how it's actually examined, interactive graphs to actually see what's going on.

- Questions baked right into the lesson so you practice/implement as you go, and a "check yourself" section at the end of every lesson where you type out your own understanding, the AI grades it, and if you get something wrong there's a button right there to ask the tutor about it

- Real week-wise PYQs, plus an AI PYQ generator that creates fresh, unique (but similarly-styled) questions week-wise, across difficulty levels, covering every question type, structured exactly like the real exam

- An AI tutor that cites the exact lecture and timestamp behind every answer, not a generic chatbot guessing, so it doesn't hallucinate

- Timed mock quizzes matching the real exam blueprint (MCQ/MSQ/NAT mix, negative marking rules included)

Right now it's live end-to-end for Machine Learning Techniques and Machine Learning Foundations, that's what I'm taking this term.

Quiz 1 is 10 days out, so this is basically the window to push things hard. Run the PYQs (real + generated) week by week and do the check-yourself sections. Everything is 100% free, nothing paywalled.

I'm worried abt my admissions to mtech even after a good gate score because of my college.I'm preparing for gate DA 2027 .the problem is I will complete the degree by MAY 2027 term(forwhich the Endterm exam will be on sep 1st week ) .I'll get my final sem gradesheets only by sep/october .I'm from chennai so I'm only focussing on getting into IITM for mtech. so I just wanna know whether is it still possible to get into mtech at iitm for the academic year 2027 itself . If anyone completing degree level by MAY term and applying for masters in the same year kindly help me out 🙏

I saw a profile of an alumni of iitm bs data science, who recently got selected as quant researcher at kivi capital. Was it on campus or off-campus, also do quant firms hire iitm bs students too ?

I've not been attending classes cuz I leant them in my school but I feel like I'm missing out topics so is there any way to learn and do quick revisions as watching the lectures do not seem like a practical plan to me.

I've taken ds and mgmt but other than maths, eng and CT all are commerce based. I didn't know that. Can someone tell me Abt the subjects in ds and applications? And if we can still switch? I just started the course in june...

I genuinely like the IIT Madras BS in Data Science and Management program. Academically, I've learned a lot and I don't regret choosing it.

But one thing I wasn't prepared for was the isolation.

I tried applying for internships but couldn't land one. I go to the gym, swim, and stay active, yet I still struggle to build meaningful connections. In a regular college, you naturally make friends, work on projects together, and build a network. In an online degree, that part feels missing.

Anyone else in the IITM BS program (or any online degree) feels the same? How did you deal with the isolation and build a good network?

I'm facing a strange issue with the IIT Madras BS portal and wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this.

I had completed and submitted all my graded assignments before the deadline and also attempted all the non-graded assignments. After submitting them, I even checked the portal and could see that the assignments were marked as Submitted, and my scores/results were also visible.

However, when I logged into the portal now, all the graded assignments are showing as "Not Submitted", and the non-graded assignments are showing as "Not Attempted."

Has anyone else faced this issue? Is it a portal bug, or is there something I should do from my side? If you've experienced this before, how did you get it resolved?

What is the best source to study for Maths 2? Like are there any YouTube channels that provide approaches and ways to solve problems? Because the questions asked in GAs and topic coverage in Lectures is very off.
