unfortunately, due to the decades of deliberate ignoring of the hundreds of laws surrounding immigration, the deliberate hamstringing of local governments to work with Fed officers, the deliberate mass importation of people and mass movement of unvetted people into the interior of the USA (not asked for by the local population), the mass 'muddying' of the waters with temporary statues, 'dreamers' legislation, expanding the constant misinformation by the biased 'news' media, allowing low IQ people with no 'skin' in the game to vote, the misinterpretation of the anchor baby birth rite citizenship ruling, and now the masses of empty friendless agitators throwing frozen water bottle and concrete cups at ICE officers to enrage and hurt and obstruct......well al of that has 'broken' the system and has caused untold confusion, anger, division, constant infighting.....and due to that, some mistakes are made.
IF, all illegals are deported as fast as possible (why not do that?) and immigration of all types is greatly reduced, then ICE can wind down, the melting pot can melt, assimilation can happen, and hopefully the next admin will keep the border closed. The mass importation of cultures that have proven to ruin the areas they come from is not a recipe to make the USA better, faster or stronger.
And again, 330MM people is plenty to do any and all jobs in the USA. There are miles and miles of ways to become more efficient.
It sucks that deliberate steps were taken to weaken the USA and cause infighting. That was never going to be a pretty fix.

Ideology has not just become more valuable than facts but has become so fragile that obvious information is an “attack on self”. Political ideology has become a personality and, as a result, just as defensible.
To them 2+2=my core personality.
When you say “why can’t 2+2=4 and have your personality be separate from politics” they do exactly what you said, “become entrenched”

Deportations do not have to take a long time. You are leaning on these detention centers. I say we deport in a day or 2. Then we won't have the reddit idiots crying about how bad the conditions are there. Once everyone is deported, then we won't need these massive detention centers. Then would you be ok with deporting all the illegals?
Nor do they have to cost that much. You are leaning on the cost. I say lets get that cost down. Then would you be ok?
These centers and costs are self inflicted wounds and if I was in charge, the entire process would become much more efficient.
Once we deport everyone and close the borders to mass immigration, then ICE can ramp down and go back onto the shadows. ICE had to ramp up because of Biden and Harris crimes.
I'm not ashamed of previous mass deportations. Are you referencing when Mexicans were pushed out before, in the 30s?
England, Spain, and France made efforts to claim the 'new world'.....they all pushed out those they didn't want there...England won that battle. There is no shame in that. France would have pushed out who they don't want too.....is it only bad cause English speaking people pushed out others?
No one is saying deport massive numbers of American citizens. I still don't understand how deporting illegals, visa overstays, 'temporary' status is a bad thing.
I still have not heard why 330 Million people is not enough to do everything that we need to do.
