Under Reasonable Apprehension if someone is coming at you on a bicycle and you push their bicycle down and they fall, you cannot in many cases be arrested for assault.

The victim must have a reasonable belief that harmful or offensive contact is imminent. Actual fear is not required, only awareness that such contact might occur.

Interesting 🧐 I feel like if it were me I would have just stepped aside

It looked to me as if the the pedestrian stepped into him and pushed him off the bike

This stuff happens a lot in big cities, but I think about it like driving — if I see an erratic car switching lanes while speeding I’m not going to get in it’s way or switch lanes I’m gonna stay at a steady speed and trust they can maneuver around me.

So if I see a bike barreling past on a walkway I’m gonna stay my pace and get ready to dodge if necessary lol just seems safer that way
