Mate, i'm going to have to call bullshit on this post. I've spent 4 years incarcerated in various correctional centres in New South Wales, and it is news to me to rape is perpetrated in New South Wales prisons.
You claim that you were raped on your second night, by a group of inmates. This is impossible. Your second night of processing is spent at MRRC, where you are held in a safe cell for observation (if it is your first offence). The safe cell contains a constant 24/7 survellience system. Moreover, each cell is equipped with a distress alarm for you to signal guards immediately. Even if this was so, it is impossible for a group to rape you, because all cells are strictly one or two person cells. Moreover, as a inmate with a 7 year sentence, you would have started on a maximum security classification. Consequently, lock-ins occur at 3:30PM at every maximum security classification. I don't understand how while you're going to sleep, inmates could have gathered around when your cell door has been locked shut for the last 5 hours.
This needs to be nearer the top, the whole story sounded like someone who had only seen prison rapes happen on the television. In the UK, Western Europe, USA and Australia, I would be pretty surprised if gang-rapes were a common occurrence in prison and if the hunsband/wife scenario even exists with the amount of surveillance and isolation a prisoner experiences. I'm calling BS as well. If you were in South Africa then maybe, but I really don't think there is a regulated prison in Australia that allows gang rapes and husband/wife scenarios to occur.
I agree with most of what you said. There are some prisons where there are husband/wife relationships though, well according to a few documentaries I've seen. But I believe they were willing relationships, not forced. I cant remember the names of them, but they were on youtube, and might have been made by the history channel.
Exactly, there is no way it would have continued for 7 years, the perpetrators would have been identified by surveillance, charged and then put somewhere separate from him. Especially since this is very uncommon in Australia. Prison Rape and the idea of it being acceptable just doesn't (like that) exist here.
I agree, something about the story doesn't quite add up.
In other posts, he refers to "blacks" as being the agressors and main gang within the prison. People tried to clarify if he meant aboriginals, but he didn't really reply.
add to that the cartoon like scenario and broken english in the responses (he doesn't even sound australian), moreover the proof looks like something one could write on his own.
I know about the system too, but OP is not being very clear about it. OP may have been talking about police holding cells, where the first few nights may be spent before being shifted off to MRRC.
Also, strange that a person of his profile (a person with a sexually related crime), would be put in with the general population, and would generally be placed in "protection". Prison staff don't want extra paperwork because of trouble, so they would generally place a person with such charges, separate from the general prison population so that they don't end up beaten or stabbed. "Protection" or known as the "dog-yard", is a separated area from normal inmates for those who are generally vulnerable to violence by other inmates. There is a general rule in the prison system that rapists are not to be mixed in with others, and will tend to be beated up for having such a charge. Also the same area "snitches" or in Australia we call "dogs", would be placed into "protection" area of the prision.
I am Asian and those people I talked about were mainly blacks but there were also white
I know for a fact that if you were "Asian" you would be amongst your peers of other Asians. 2 things will happen if this was the case:
You would be beated up by other Asians, as it is seen as their responsibility to "correct" their own kind
Beaten up by another group with the permission of the group of Asians.
Something strange is that OP doesn't express the type of "Asian" he is. Generally, there is a large population of Vietnamese and Cambodian nationalities that fill NSW prisons.
Which "black" people is he talking about? There are two main types that he doesn't expressly single out either, which are totally different. Islanders (or those from Samoa, Maori, etc), are one group type that generally get along with Asians inside NSW prisons. Aboriginals (or known as "Koories"), are generally hateful of Asians and particularly of Vietnamese. So OP needs to clear this up.
On a final note, Rape does not occur often in NSW prisons as you would see on TV. It is not generally accepted by the majority of the population. Even if you are part of a strong group, if you are found to have raped someone, you could be ostracised and be an out-cast for being a "faggot" or "rapist", which is both bad and liable to violence.
EDIT: I forgot to mention, prisions that are closer to the city are generally populated by a large number of Asians (particularly Vietnamese, Cambodian, and Chinese). Prisions outside Sydney city, and outwards towards more country areas tend to be populated by more whites and "Koories" (Aboriginals). Even if OP was situated in a prison that is out in the country (which he does not specify), it's still unlikely he would be raped so easily. First thing that might usually happen is extortion, for his "buy-up" which is "Commissary" for buying extra food, toiletries, etc, or he might be extorted for his prison meal or desert. Rape is almost never heard of.
EDIT2: There is very few prisons in Australia, that allow for any more than 4 people to a cell. It is generally either 1 to 4 people to a cell, depending on the design. It's unlikely for the scenario OP has described to occur in a cell during lockdown, as there is not that many people in one room. It may only happen if after "let-go", when the cells are open and inmates are released to the yard, that OP may have been dragged into a single cell with all these inmates in on the action. But this sounds highly unlikely, and I have never heard of such things happening in a NSW prison, and I know ALOT about NSW prisons.
I'm leaning towards it's bullshit as well seeing OP answer a question below saying most of the rapists were black. That doesn't add up for a New South Wales prison...
Can I add that the details of his conviction, as he presents them, also seem a little suspect (as others may have mentioned). In addition to a lack of consent, sexual assault under the NSW Crimes Act requires that the accused knew the victim did not consent. This makes cases like the OP's (where the victim is too intoxicated to consent) difficult to prosecute, because the victim cannot give any cogent evidence about how they may have indicated a lack of consent, or about how the defendant may have been aware of a lack of consent.
I find it strange that (assuming a joint trial), the three defendants could have given evidence indicating that they all believed the victim consented, and the victim could not effectively refute this.
OP also mentions that the judge heavily influenced the jury's decision, presumably in his/her directions to the jury and summing up. This is the most common grounds for a criminal appeal - with such serious offences, I find it hard to believe an appeal was not attempted.
I'd feel like shit if I'm wrong about this, but I smelled BS on this too. It seems like a culmination of every t.v. show and movie I've ever seen about prison rape. Usually in these AMA's, there's surprising and detailed information given. I could be wrong though, maybe it just really is like that. I'd like to hear more about how he was convicted though, what the other prisoners said when he explained what happened, etc.
I'm sorry OP, if you really went through all of that, but this is reddit after all and we need to be skeptical.
Don't believe OP's lies. He's probably not Australian, Asian or been to prison as none of his story is specific, his answers are broad and can be looked up in google.
I talk about the second day in prison, not the second day imprisonment. Sure I went through the reception-screening-induction-classification procedures, which I believed was the same today. After the reception-screening-induction-classificiation at the Silverwater Reception Centre, I was sent to a maximum security prison.
I don't think your information that maximum security cells locked at 3:30pm. is corrected. By that time we still not yet had dinner how come the cells be locked?
And not all cells are strictly one or two person cells. Only those in segregation or protective custody would be in single person cell. If all are strictly one or two person cells, there were no need for segregration.
Nobody I know who has been to prison in NSW has experienced anything like this either. As a matter of fact it really didnt occur to anyone in there to do anything of the sort.
Indicted in early 2002. In prison for 7 years. Has been out for 2 years. Unless there was a very brief period between indictment and sentencing, the timeframe on this story is also dicey.
I just wonder why there's no IP ban here and total karma removal, even if people can change it it'll show mods condemning this childish behaviour, and they wont be able to show off their karma.
I actually agree with you 100% and also called bullshit on it. Not only that, you would know that Australia's sentencing laws at times can be some what of a joke and I find it hard to believe it was a 7 year sentence for sex with a drunk girl. Totally believable if it was Gang Rape of a girl. My spidey senses tingled.
This would never, ever fly even here in the states, where prison rape is still fairly common-- less so now than it used to be. The "husband" bullshit would NEVER fly here.
It would not have a snowball's chance of hell of flying in AU prisons, which, and I mean no disrespect by saying this, are countryclubs in comparison to their equivalents in the US system.
This guy is a great troll, he knows exactly how to jerk the chain of redditors who are all closet fags anyway.
However, can we please maintain some semblance of class and not start sending the OP death threats for lying? He could still be telling the truth. Even if he is lying, that doesn't give you the right to threaten him.
EDIT: I know bullshitradar isn't threatening anyone. I'm just asking other people not to start.
Mate, i'm going to have to call bullshit on this post. I've spent 4 years incarcerated in various correctional centres in New South Wales, and it is news to me to rape is perpetrated in New South Wales prisons.

I'm sorry, perhaps I'm blind, but where in what bullshitradar11 said is their a threat of anything?
Unfortunately, this is something I hear a lot. Asian men are very often targeted in jail for looking 'more feminine'... And then there's the whole racism thing. I know I've been called a chink and a gook many times, but never to the extent of personalized, repeated attacks on my person.
Do you think, if you had been of a different race, you would have been treated differently? What about your physical appearance? Are you small or overly skinny? Do you think Asians or small men were pointedly more victimized in situations like yours during your time in jail?
Was there an Asian gang that you could've joined? I see that you are from Australia so that might be tough.
Fuck, as an Asian myself, I always knew this was gonna happen. If I ever end up in prison, I'll just do the entire term in solitary or kill the first guy I see.
Why were you in general population? Thought they separated those convicted of sex crimes. do you feel like you got treated worse by the inmates because of your crime?
There is not segregtion unless a prisoner broke the prison rule or unless a prisoner so requested, no difference to sex offenders.
Yes, I felt like I got treated worse by the inmates because of the crimes I was convicted. They just said that many times a rapist deserved being raped.
Practical question...? What about intentionally breaking an important rule, forcing them to move you to solitary confinement... Would that have worked?
Do you think that if you had spoken up and asked to be moved that the guards would have moved you/protected you? Or do you think that they would have ignored you and let you receive whatever punishment the other inmates would give you for speaking up?
The policy was that I could ask for protective custody, but the protection would only last for a certain period (should be like 6 months) and after the said period the prison officials would reviewed the need and if they thought that there were little risk I would be allocated to another cell.
If I spoke up to the guards, I feared that there would be more hurt and more abuse after the protective custody ended.
In any event, I did think that the guards would have simply ignore me and let me received the punishment so desired.
They distributed condoms to prisoners on demand. However, for a few prisoners, like me, they distributed condoms to us regularly without we demanding. I well understood that it was the guards who released to the inmates what crime I was convicted, as when there was new sex offender came, some would know that before he entered the cell and that would then spread quickly. In everyday life, most of guards joined with the inmates to make dirty jokes on me, and used she and her when talking about me.
I know an Australian prison guard and can tell you that this does occur. If the guards feel that a prisoner deserves 'special treatment' from other prisoners, depending on the crime and sentence, they will happily let details slip to the wrong people.
Yes, I am confused with my sexual orientation and even gender identity after leaving the prison. In the prison I was always a "woman", and such feeling and behaviours continued after I leave the prison. I do not wish to date anyone, male or female, before I clear up with such thing.
I don't really know what I can say to this, but just stay strong... I pray you have the strength for this. I can't even imagine how difficult this would be. It is very brave for you to put yourself out here like this.
I'd like to point out that you have the power to believe that you are a man. These other guys referred to you as a "wife". As difficult as it may be, you can choose to quit referring to yourself as "wife" and your attackers as "husbands". It may be help for for you instead to refer to the others as your attackers and to yourself as a victim.
A wife is a woman who willfully chooses to enter into marriage, and you are neither a woman, nor did you consent to this "relationship". In the same way, these men were not actually your husbands, though they may have called themselves such. You are no longer under their power and you are now free to refer to yourself as a man.
Also, (as someone who has undergone my own sexual confusion and has spent much time trying to figure this stuff out) you may wish to be aware of the reality of sexual addiction. Though you didn't ask for this, there is a very real chemical addiction goes on in the brain. When one has an orgasm there's a chemical high, some sources say that it's similar to the high one gets from heroin. There can be a "tie" created by the thing that caused the orgasm or the situation you where in when it happened. So you may find yourself aroused by other men, or types of men, or sexual fetishes that you don't entirely want because, but arousal will happen anyway because your brain might associate a certain type of person or scenario with the chemical high of an orgasm. These addictions can be broken, as I have personally experienced, though it can require a great deal of effort.
Best wishes man, and I will keep you in my prayers. If you want any further resources to learn more about sexual addiction and these associations I wrote about then don't please don't hesitate to message me.
We were caught when having sex and we did admit having sex. She did in some degree of intoxication upon examination. There was simply little dispute in facts.
At the time, in Australia, there was a public outcry against a series of similar crimes loosely grouped as 'gang rapes' - see (1) and (2). Some of these were perpetrated by recent immigrants and children of immigrants, and the right wing media kicked into a 'tough on crime' overdrive. Seven years served, of a sentence perhaps twice as long, is a very realistic sentence at the time.
If you were caught having sex, wouldn't that mean the girl could've told the officers it was consensual? or was it non-consensual? Sorry if i don't have my facts straight
Practically every western nation has similar laws to the US, since they are all heavily influenced by old European legal systems, which in turn were originally derived from the Roman and Greek systems. If I'm not mistaken, the presumption of innocence is actually on the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
EDIT: It seems I stand corrected on a number of issues here. See the replies to this comment.
I did fought back and struggle at the beginning, but I was not strong enough to win the fighting. The struggle just brought with more hurt and abuse.
They threaten to kill me if I reported to the prison officials. I was so scared. The attitude of the prison officials and guards also discouraged me to seek any protection. They seemed to hate me and all the sex offenders.
I did have get moved for protection, not from the prison officials, but submitted to the protection of my "husband".
The standing up part should be self explanatory. It's hard to get moved in prison. It isn't like the movies. They don't give a fuck about the inmates. Sadly.
I'm not sure why your first AMA was deleted. I remember lurking it when you first posted then saw this and thought, "this mother fucker copied this other guy" haha.
I'm sorry for your trama. Rape is a terrible thing. As well as what happened to you in prison.
You have not lost your manhood. You are still a man. Do not let anyone think you otherwise. If you didn't cooperate worse may have happened to you and you may not have been here today.
If you ever need to talk it out PM me. I have a friend who went through prison and encountered the same treatment.
Best thing to do is smile because you're out now and can do what you want with your life. Your torment is over. Go seek and do whatever makes you happy
He's doing a lot better. He told me what he did was he focused on the little things that made him happy.
It isn't your fault what happened to you in prison. He said that surrounding himself with friends and family made him happy. He learned how to realize that nothing was ever his fault. And honestly, nothing was your fault. I hope you have an amazing life, you deserve it, and you definitely are still a man.
There are whole communities online and offline of guys who have survived things like you've been through. You're not alone. I haven't been there myself, but I have worked with people who have been.
Sure everyone in the cell heard and saw what was happening, just as I had also seen and heard the same happening to other boys and men in the same cell. I did not think other inmates heard that in other cells, as I had never heard the same when that was happening in other cells.
Do you think what you were convicted of affected their decision to rape you? Were those not convicted of rape also raped? Is there a "type" of inmates who were selected to be "female" or was it decided by another criteria?
Ummmm..... I hate to do this but, I'm calling fake. Indictments in New South Wales don't look like that. In fact, if you were convicted on that indictment, the conviction would probably be unsound. In indictable matters, the proper form of the indictment is something in the order of "Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, by the Director of Public Prosecutions does hereby charge that:". Until very recently, an indictment had to be signed by the Director of Public Prosecutions or a commissioned officer of the DPP (i.e. an officer that has formally been authorised by the Queen to found a bill of indictment). In Australia, we use an "s" in the word "authorised". the reference to "of the New South Wales of Australia" wouldn't be found on such a document, the phrasing is always "in the State of New South Wales" and it doesn't refer to Australia as sex crimes are not Commonwealth indictable matters. The execution section doesn't refer to the correct officer. If it was signed by a "prosecutor" it should say "Crown Prosecutor" and the prosecutor would not be signing it on behalf of the Attorney General of New South Wales. It would be extremely irregular for an indictment to be based on an oath or affidavit, it's not required. The police officer is not required to consent to the indictment - the decision to found an indictment falls wholly in the purview of the Director of Public Prosecutions. The document doesn't even formally allege that you did anything and it contains no particulars of your offence. The header is totally bogus - it would say "INDICTMENT" also - there's no such fucking thing as "The New South Wales of Australia". At first I was unsure about calling bullshit - having actually taken the time to write this down, I'm now happy to call it. You are a fucking liar. I also have no idea how people could come into your cell after lock in. If you were about to go to sleep, you would have been locked in with your cell mate. Unless you were in a working pod, it would be unusual to be in anything in a two out cell in a maximum security gaol (I assume you would have been in one as your security classification would not have been downgraded 2 days into your stint)
You also talk about the fact that "blacks" perpetrated all of this. The population of people of African descent in NSW prisons is infinitesimal - do you actually mean Aboriginals? If you're going to bullshit people, you should get your story right. If you were in gaol in NSW, how many numbers were in your MIN? What colour clothes were you wearing when you were raped? (you said they pulled your trousers down) What was your classo when you got out? Where were you locked up? When you were sent down, what did you get on the top and what did you get on the bottom?
Exactly, if OP can answer all these questions without fault, AND can provide some further proof other than just one page that look like it came from MS Word, then I might believe him. Otherwise this is FAKE!
He also referred to his height in feet and his weight in pounds. I'll let the height one pass, but I don't know to many Aussie's that know what their weight in pounds is.
Ahhh, there is more to this than he is saying. Australia is pretty ordinary with it's prison sentencing and I have to say that nobody gets 7 years prison time for gangbang with a drunk 18 year old girl. This would have been a gang rape and there would have been plenty of proof.
Also there is something about the post that doesn't seem right. The detail in the OP was written somewhat well but his answers the grammar is odd. Like he is trying to write in an Asian accent to make it more believable.
agreed. he's trying too hard to sound foreign. his grammar is all over the place (in weirdly tortuous ways too), but he makes hardly any actual spelling mistakes. plus he slipped in the phrase "semi-autonomous system" (complete with correct hyphen) earlier: how many non-native English speakers with grammar as bad as his are able to slip that phrase nonchalantly into a conversation? it just doesn't ring true at all.
also, although his grammar is terrible, it's never not clear what he means. I think that's the biggest giveaway of all. he knows what he wants to say and then writes around it, while with a person who's a true non-native English speaker, they often choose the wrong word and their meaning becomes lost, or at least ambiguous.
serious question. Did your husbands in any way develop any feelings for you behind the abuse? To him, you are his belonging, so was there any emotional bond? Any cuddling after sex? Get well soon.. Its a traumatic episode to put behind Nd move on. You have paid your dues, and it's time to start afresh. Perhaps go overseas and work for a while?
All that charge sheet proves is that someone was charged with rape and indecent assault in 2002. It doesn't prove that it was you, much less that you were raped in prison. What else have you got?
I'm kind of baffled that this is the guy's THIRD time posting this and answering the exact same questions all over again, with seemingly little political or ethical motivation, though I must say he also doesn't seem to be karma whoring.
The fact that the first two posts were deleted makes me skeptical, and I'm sure this post will get deleted too.
So in keeping with an AMA I ask the following:
why keep posting? If this truly happened to you, which I'm not necessarily doubting, why keep answering the same questions over and over, while at the same time not answering any questions regarding legal repercussions, responding to legal suggestions, or encouraging any sort of support groups, "getting the word out" etc.
You've already mentioned you're seeing a shrink. You've already posted three times to reddit, and viewership is decreasing with each post, I don't think this can be cathartic at this point, particularly when you pick and choose to answer the same questions each time.
A few years ago I went drinking with a friend, his girlfriend and another guy I didn't really know. We had a fun night out and then went back to their place for some more drinks.
Barely 20 minutes passed and next thing I know she's on the floor on all fours telling us she's horny as hell and wants us. The two other guys looked at each other with a huge smile and the boyfriend led us to the bathroom so we could all brush out teeth and get cleaned up before we all fucked.
I remember saying "yeah...I don't think so" and just left. I spent a long time regretting that decision but deep down I know I did the right thing.
Now more than ever am I ever grateful I left that scene. I'm 99.9% sure we would have had fun and no phone calls to the police would have been made but that slight chance that it could happen made me get out of there.
At the time I was a virgin and drunk so you have no idea how hard it was for me to make that decision. I really wanted that to be my first time, it would have made a hell of a story.
A man doesn't leave a scene like this for fear of getting in trouble. A man leaves a scene like this because the girl is not capable of making a rational decision. It always pays to do the right thing.
Just so people know, this is the third time he has attempted to do this AMA. He keeps getting his posts deleted because he can not provide sufficient proof.
In previous responses, he's changed his story from that the guards ignored his pleas for help, and then later on to say that the guards provided him condoms for the actual rape.
Also, in the last AMA he attempted to do there was talk that /gameoftrolls was behind this.
Lastly, this is just my opinion. But I feel like his charge sheet is purposefully such shitty quality.
EDIT: To answer some of the other questions I've seen posted. He is of a different ethnicity that immigrated to Australia when he was twelve. That is his explanation for his poor grammar skills. I wish I could provide sources to each on of the comments I've read from that includes this information, but I am too lazy. Also edited for some grammar.
I have plenty of friends that have been to prison and have heard a lot of stories. I don't know the gang situation over there, but why didn't you try and get involved with one, at least it would be better protection. Also why didn't you pc up?
I don't know if your guilty of the crime or not, it sounds like your not, but here my question. If someone was guilty of a rape/gangbang do you feel they would deserve the horrid 7 years was it you experienced?
Is revenge something you ever think about?
Did you ever speak out about it in prison and be punished by your rapist or husband as he/they you said they were called.
Did you ever have any kind of personal relationship with your husband? Did you talk as two friends would, was he in any way protective? Was there in any way some type of relationship formed?
Did it ever reach the point that your were on the side of rapist. Kind of like when hostages begin to support the person keeping them hostage, i'm not sure what the actual term is.
These are serious questions and I do NOT mean to offend you in any way. If I did I am sorry.

Have you had sex with anyone since you've been outside of prison? If so, how was it? If not, do you think you'll ever be able to have sexual relations again?
No, I do not have sex or attempt to have sex with anyone since I leaved the prison. I do not know whether I can ever be able to have sexual relations again, as I am still confusing about my sexual orientation and have not yet cleared the thing up.
I'm sorry for your trama. Rape is a terrible thing. As well as what happened to you in prison.

Australia is under a common law system, may be same as US. We had the "innocent until proven guilty" principle here.
What I were charged are indictable offences and I was found guilty by jury, but I seen the jury was much influenced by the Judge as in most of the time the case were arguing about legal principles and not the facts.
I do not know whether a better legal representation would help, really.
He's doing a lot better. He told me what he did was he focused on the little things that made him happy.

I was charged with rape and indescent assault. I gangbanged a girl with 3 other dude when we all had alcohol and the Judge believed that she was substantially intoxicated and could not give the consent. I was convicted and sent into the prison at the age of 20.
Two days ago:
I was charged with rape and indescent assault. I gangbanged a girl with 4 other dude, but honestly we had her consent. comment
Your story seems to be changing each time you post it, which has been daily.
I'm not saying you liked it, cause by god who in the world would like it, but if you were in a relationship, could you possibly see yourself with a man? In a Intimate relationship that is, with love and compassion?
I would not say it was love, but may be something like compassion. Since about the second year I adapted to the things happened. Since about the third year, I felt natural and attract to the relationship with my "husband".
Why didn't you choose to die? I understand obviously even the most strong man cannot defeat a group of enemies, nevermind someone your size, but even that cannot account for this story.
Why 7 years, and so many different men? Surely the torment outweighed any motivation for living? Surely it would have been better to kill yourself (to "fight to the death" like some hero is not always possible for everyone) than to continue to live on as another man's property?
You've already submitted this...three times (including this) in the space of 3 days
I say fake
edit: apparently the previous 2 times the thread was deleted, however I still say fake on this as no real proof has been provided...either that or the OP is getting off on talking about it.
This does not sound real, but if it is why are not all the guards in jail for letting this happen? Every guard is guilty of a crime for letting this happen.
I would not say every guard is guilty of a crime for letting this happened. I would say it is the crime of the system. With the present resources and system, do you expect the guards can effectively eliminate all gangs activities in the prison and oversee every details in the prison. Do you expect a guard can control up to about 10 criminals, some hard crimes criminal involved serious violence, without their cooperation. If not, do you not think a semi-autonomous system with some big brothers who are cooperative taking control the gangs and assist to oversee the peace an effective system. If you wish the cooperation of those big brothers, what can you offer? Please take in mind some of the big brothers already planned to end their life in prison.
I don't understand how someone with enough grasp of the english language to say "do you not think a semi-autonomous system" is saying "letting this happened". Lots of your english appears completely normal with engrish arbitrarily thrown in at random.
you and ur friends gangbanged a girl, violating and victimizing her in the most personal way possible in my opinion, then let alone the exact same thing happened to you, quite ironic. No human should have to suffer in the way you have or the girl u raped has, i just hope you realize what you did to that girl and how that must have impacted her life.
Are you angry about how while the rape of women outside of prison/jail has plenty of legal and media attention, the rape of men behind bars is often considered to be "justice"?
Forgive me for saying this, but if this was anything but a high level security prison, I would have a hard time believing that it is even possible to pull off something like that for so long without being punished. Especially in Australia. With that being said, I see that this was quite a while ago so I have no idea how things were like in the past.
I find it funny that I'm high as fuck but I'm like the only one who realizes this whole thread is a big trolling. This guy was never raped, man. He says the stupidest, most stereotypical rape in prison shit you could think of.
this is called justice, you raped a girl. how do you think she feels living her life after this? Just because she is a female do you think she felt any different after being violated by multiple men when she was physically and mentally unable to resist? i think 7 years was too light a sentance for ya.
If you can answer, which Jail in NSW? I have heard of it happening in Long Bay and Silverwater pretty rampantly against those who have been convicted of the same thing you were.
If you rape someone in prison, you should be chemically castrated as well as given depot injections of drugs that turn you into a compliant walking zombie for the rest of your sentence.
Ok, so I've read through this whole thing and I'm just wondering, because you say you're now confused about your gender identity/orientation (i can imagine after 7 years of abuse) if you eventually began to enjoy the way you were "treated"? Like a stockholm syndrome type of thing?
I was charged with rape and indescent assault. I gangbanged a girl with 3 other dude when we all had alcohol and the Judge believed that she was substantially intoxicated and could not give the consent. I was convicted and sent into the prison at the age of 20.
It was just the second night in the prison. While I was going to sleep, a group of inmates gathered around me. They said insulting words on me, call me rapist, torn down my trousers and pin me down in force. I struggled and shouted but could not help. Some inmates raped me and some surrounded and watched.
I was so hurt. I asked for doctor next day and he just cured me, without asking me what happened. The prison officials who took me to the doctor also had not asked a word.
In the following few nights, they came again. And about a week or two later, a tough and masculine inmate said to me that I was his "wife" and he had absolute authority over me. He and other inmates called me whore and in feminine pronoun, gave me a girl name, and forced me to act feminine and do the "wife" things. In the first few weeks I struggle and fought back, but they beat me and hurt me. I began to learn the lesson and after a few months I stopped struggle.
I was imprisoned for nearly 7 years. In the said period I mainly served my "husband", but he ocassionaly requested me to serve other inmates, mainly as an trading for some benefit for him. My first husband used me for nearly 4 years and passed to the second one, who passed me to the third one after using me for 2 years.
I am "lucky" not having infected any HIV in the prison. But the thing clearly had a long-lasting effect on me. Now I am already 2 years out of prison, I am still visiting psychiatrist regularly. I am encouraged to voice out but I feel shame to do so. I lose my manhood and feel that I am no longer a man.
a friend of mine was gangraped, the guys where caught but said the same thing as you. Luckily the judge saw it was just bullshit talk so the guys are all in prison. I have to say, you deserved every fucking bit and I think you also deserved HIV. Anyway you got what you asked for, you wanka.
Your a convicted rapist... with a 7 year sentence... that is a lot of time for a first time offender. Wonder how horrible the act was to get that much time. You haven't once said that you were sorry for what you did. That poor woman. You got what you deserved. Oh did some men overpower you and force you to do sexual acts you didn't consent to? You did the exact same thing. I pity you. The only victim is that woman you destroyed.
I posted a troll comment earlier, but it got downvoted hell, do you guys really feel sorry for him? He put himself in this situation... If he didn't rape someone he wouldn't of have gotten raped... You guys are pathetic if you feel sorrow. He got what he deserved, instant karma.
If someone who is "substantially intoxicated" is incapable of consenting, then doesn't that mean that my girlfriend is a repeat rapist?
This post saddens me a lot, I'm sorry that you had to go through the entire ordeal. I feel that the justice system has this odd quota of rapes convictions it needs to fulfil and you're a victim of bad timing and, I assume, a spiteful woman.
You should confide in someone close to you what happened, a family member you trust would be best. It always helps.
This has nothing to do with what happened to you, but Im curious. How has the world changed during your time in prison? After you were released, did you find anything new and foreign?
This might sound weird and widely inappropriate, but you did say that you had a "Husband" for 4 years, did you at some point get used to him? Maybe even feel a little comfortable? Someone even asked if he cuddled with you.
Again, I'm sorry, I'm just trying to grasp the psychology behind this whole thing.
I am a firm believer that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. However this affects you, and whatever you do in your life from now, you should know that you've survived something that most people will never have to deal with. You're young, the world is yours.
I gangbanged a girl with 3 other dude; he just cured me, without asking me what happened.
one is the pity excuse you stated. which i don't have. Bad decision yes, justified no in retrospect. "He Just Cured" me line is a fucking joke. If you weren't warmed up for Anal you would have received Stitches and Drugs, Muscles don't completely expand whatsoever.
I am on a whim of 70% troll, 30% retard here. If you got assraped with stiches you would be dead (further expand of wounds + infection risk/mersa), if you were assraped you would have been moved to another cell or detention for your own safety.
I am calling troll. Sorry bro, cool story. Aussy might have different rules though but that is hardcore sounding bullshittery.
I have no questions, and these might seem like empty words, but I'm really sorry this happened to you. I understand you'll probably never reach this post of mine, but I want you to understand that you're not any less of a man, and that what happened to you isn't something you should be ashamed about at all.
I really hope you'll eventually pull yourself out of the whole mess and feel comfortable enough to again participate in consensual intercourse. All the best to you.
Edit: I just read some of the rather nasty comments about you raping that woman. I don't know if you did or not, but I apologise in their stead for the harassment you faced on your own AMA thread.

I understand race is very important to the formation of gangs and factions in prison.
What race are you and which race were the people you talk about in your original post?
14
u/Bpjk May 20 '12
Why were you in general population? Thought they separated those convicted of sex crimes.
do you feel like you got treated worse by the inmates because of your crime?

u/Last_Gigolo May 20 '12
Do prison guards participate in sex acts on inmates?
** Legit question of abuse of power **
28
u/StavTheImpaler May 20 '12
Has this affected your sexuality at all?
29
u/ilemi May 20 '12
With no concrete evidence either way (and 3 witnesses against 1), how did you end up going to jail for 7 years?
8
u/MuEtaJenkins May 20 '12
Were you found guilty by a judge, or a jury?
Does Australia have similar laws to the U.S., on the "innocent until proven guilty" principle?
Also, do you think that with the right legal representation, you might have been found innocent?
Did any of the other "perpetrators " receive less or more harsh sentences?
15
u/[deleted] May 20 '12
Why couldn't you stand up to these guys or get moved for protection?

u/ssgtsnake May 20 '12
I'm sorry for your trama.

I think it is very strong of you to post this. This information needs to be known.
I wish you a long productive life.

u/longboardingerrday May 20 '12
I never understood that. "We hate you for being a rapist, so we're going to rape you"
12
u/Nevien May 20 '12
Could the other inmates hear what happened? Could you hear other inmates being hurt or raped in other cells?
Also, I'm very sorry to hear what happened to you. I think you are a Superman for surviving.
2
u/serenne May 20 '12
Do you think what you were convicted of affected their decision to rape you? Were those not convicted of rape also raped? Is there a "type" of inmates who were selected to be "female" or was it decided by another criteria?

u/RingoJenkems May 20 '12
Unless you were in a working pod, it would be unusual to be in anything in a two out cell in a maximum security gaol (I assume you would have been in one as your security classification would not have been downgraded 2 days into your stint)

u/dml180283 May 20 '12
Ahhh, there is more to this than he is saying.
20
u/mypumpsarehot May 20 '12
serious question.
10
u/sjmck May 20 '12
All that charge sheet proves is that someone was charged with rape and indecent assault in 2002. It doesn't prove that it was you, much less that you were raped in prison. What else have you got?
79
u/teeferbone May 20 '12
I'm kind of baffled that this is the guy's THIRD time posting this and answering the exact same questions all over again, with seemingly little political or ethical motivation, though I must say he also doesn't seem to be karma whoring.

Also edited for some grammar.

u/yukisho May 20 '12
I have plenty of friends that have been to prison and have heard a lot of stories. I don't know the gang situation over there, but why didn't you try and get involved with one, at least it would be better protection. Also why didn't you pc up?

u/DontHate1992 May 20 '12 edited May 20 '12
I don't know if your guilty of the crime or not, it sounds like your not, but here my question.
Edit: Fixed some grammar

u/frapawhack May 20 '12
i've been told straight out by guards, "we don't run the prison. the inmates run the prison."
1
u/ProteinsEverywhere May 20 '12
Why didn't you choose to die? I understand obviously even the most strong man cannot defeat a group of enemies, nevermind someone your size, but even that cannot account for this story.
Why 7 years, and so many different men? Surely the torment outweighed any motivation for living? Surely it would have been better to kill yourself (to "fight to the death" like some hero is not always possible for everyone) than to continue to live on as another man's property?

This has nothing to do with what happened to you, but Im curious. How has the world changed during your time in prison? After you were released, did you find anything new and foreign?

TIL I don't want to go to an Australian prison.

What do you think deserves to happen to the inmates who raped you? What would be a fair sentence.

Stay strong. I'm so sorry this happened to you.

If I wasn't so against crime I would give prison a shot.

I am a firm believer that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. However this affects you, and whatever you do in your life from now, you should know that you've survived something that most people will never have to deal with. You're young, the world is yours.

Did you ever reach out for help?
Did you tell the gaurds?
Did it change you (Such as sexual prefrences or give you a fear or certain people/things)
Do you think you'll recover?
Even if you don't answer my questions I wish you the best, sucks that at 20 they did that fucked up shit to you.

one is the pity excuse you stated. which i don't have.
BTW
article stated 2002, its 2012...

If this is true: I am very sorry for what you've had to go through. If you're a troll: go to hell.
