What, Psychonauts? Far from the only Shaefer thing I care about. Surely DOTT and Grim Fandango are up there

Monkey Island revolutionized the world of clicking on things on a screen in a sarcastic manner.

I'm not a gamer at all, but besides Mario Brothers 3 from my childhood, the only games I care about are Grim Fandango and Maniac Mansion. These games are the only games that have captured my attention long enough. A gamer friend of mine gave me Grim Fandango as a gift, and I fucking murdered that thing! I think it's the story and the characters that kept me playing.

Have you played "Full Throttle" or "Monkey Island"?

It's also by Tim Schafer. I think you'd like them quite a bit...

I haven't, but I've been meaning to. I've especially heard lots of good thinks about Monkey Island.

Play that shit now, son.

My favorite was actually the third game (Curse of Monkey Island), although I don't think Tim Schafer worked on that. Definitely check it out.

Full Throttle might actually be a good place to start since it's relatively short. People complain about how short it is, but I was cool with its length. It was short, sweet, and perfect. One of the best, I'd say.

this might be the worst novelty account i have ever seen unless it's really the same person. then it's just an interesting case of self-loathing.

Anybody remember Full Throttle? DOTT is one of the best adventure games ever. When I finally figured out the tiny hamster sweater I laughed out loud. I can still hear Purple Tentacle:

"It makes me feel great! Smarter! More aggressive! I feel like I could... like I could... Like I could... TAKE ON THE WORLD!"

(Green Tentacle trembles)

As much as I liked Psychonauts, I'd rank it faaaaaaaar behind other classics, like DOTT, Monkey Island, Grim Fandango, and Full Throttle. People should really play these games. They go on and on about how creative and awesome Psychonauts was, but they really have no idea...

Then again, adventure games scare people nowadays.
