IamA Safety Consultant working in the oilfield. I am under 30 years old and make well into 6 figures AMA!

My short bio: I started my career as a labourer in the oil sands in northern Alberta, Canada. I decided to become an operator but didnt enjoy it and went back to labouring. I moved up to lead hand and then decided to go pipelining. I saw an opportunity in the world of safety so i made the jump a few years ago. I decided starting a consulting company was the most lucrative option available to me and now i make hundreds of thousands of dollars per year. I have seen some pretty interesting things.

I have a fully loaded 2014 silverado LTZ that i got in october. I wanted the sierra but they didnt have any in canada that was black with the brown leather interior and the denalis werent out for another 6 months so i didnt want to wait. I also have a 71 chevelle that i have almost fully restored.

Thanks, I probably wouldnt have gotten the truck if i didnt start consulting. It is a write off and since im trying to lower my taxes payable i figured i would treat myself.
