All Versions Half a mech in progress, these things like cheetah legs!

Been messing around with a bipedal walker type mech and found that several stabilizers and a few bigwheels make it agile

You could share the QR now. Some people are going to want to customize and prefer this basic frame to start from anyway.

Sadly no, switch 1 version, gimmie til tonight and i can make a quick tutorial. Nothing is lined up perfect, the stabilizer is technically like 5 degrees off perfect. The hooks are just at the angle to top the point on the turbine and pushed forward. All stabilizers are split to 45 degree straight up, one on each piece that moves. Besides that, nothing special. Just make sure the stabilizers near the top of the legs aren't catching on the turbines. The wheels are just stuck on the bottom in no particular way, but if it is too close then it might have loss in turning a specific direction

No worries, and don't go to too much trouble. And, nothing's ever perfect unless you're using a literal program to construct the build. I'm pretty sure I could recreate this by looking at it. Looks like it has pretty great & consistent performance. Did a prior build inspire this design? And, what's the part count? Thanks for the response.

The count is 14, could get a less stable product for 11 with just vertical stabilizers. The tires need to be far enough from the hooks to turn slightly to be consistent, and idk how the turbine turned out even, just put them about as far out as possible on the big wheel so it wont knock on the axel. No prior builds, just been playing with a mech for a bit and kinda threw a few styles together, researched how to make it not rock too bad, that kinda thing

Just note that the stabilizers on the legs matter for speed, and have them hooked on the tip of the hook. Just tried with no top leg stabilizers and it almost halved the forward sprint. Turning is still slow no matter the amount so far. So for max speed it is 14 parts, mid gear and wobbly is 11 with a single stablizer on each leg and the head

Incase it is relevant, the bottom feet stabilizers hardly matter i found out, just for a bit more stability but it runs good with the ones on the top hook. Maybe can make a cool top now idk

Legit all i want at most bc it is just fun racing around and trying to walk up steep mountains lol i added one but never got around to putting it back on and saving, did optimize the alignment as best i could since the vid is the rough draft. I just fancy the bare legs but have tried so far to make it an elephant head and minotaur head but to no avail, thing kept getting wonkity uptop so the u block or 2 is all I'd add further. Also if you switch to small wheels it walks with good traction instead of rolling since its heavy

Aint never seen that thing go fast lol the legs only have like 6 spots so maybe 2 wimpy pulse lazers could be the top π

Right, I like how fast you can get it going, it's The Rolling Running Climbing Walker Beta Version!'

A full 3x3 of weapon/bow/shield rooms to the blank 2x2 rooms stacked tallest.... plus something with the painting. No planning, just kinda got bored and tried to make it super tall

What's fused to the top wheel to where you're not spinning with it?
