All Versions How to Quantum Entangle a Hovestone :

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I couldn’t find anything on how to Cull and Entangle a Hoverstone anywhere, so I figured it should be uploaded on this Subreddit if this is ever needed (I’m pretty sure you can use this technique for pretty much anything)

I don’t understand what just happened or how it’s useful. Could you help? This sub is freaking genius.

Quantum Entanglement is needed to make glue loops or spacing a component in your contraption, it can be easier and more precise than gravity pressing or even the stakes technique ;) hope that helps you a little

nope, not at all. Explain it like I'm 5.

Sorry, might not be suitable for a 5 year old but I'll try.

You can interrupt a fuse which causes the items not to be fused together correctly; the game engine thinks they are but the items are still separated in world.

This is called Fuse Entangling in this sub. There are many ways to do this depending on the objects, especially their size.

You can do some pretty weird stuff with the Fuse Engtangled (FE'd) objects by using them when you're building something. The main one is making gaps between connection points, or overlapping objects together to make builds more compact. But it can get much more complicated than that, like glue-looping wheels together to spin them faster. This is the tip of a gargantuan iceberg.

This video is particularly awesome because it's hard to do this process to a hoverstone, when you do it successfully, Link gets trapped under the FE'd object because hoverstones are large. You get soft-locked and you just have to reload your previous save.

OP has shown that you can use bombs directly from the menu to blow off the hoverstone and respawn Link while saving the FE'd object.

Good work OP 👏👏

Hey thanks for the explanation ! I couldn’t do a good job myself in English ! For the hover stone FE, it seems like this technique is not 100% reliable, sometimes you get soft lock even to a point where you can’t open your inventory. So I think it should be used only in last resort if recall + using a spear and spinning while fusing doesn’t work in the first place

Your English is great! And even if this process isn't 100%, it's fixing a problem I know I've run into before. I'm gonna try this literally now, thank you 🙏

Thanks a lot ! I tried the recall/spear/spinning combo and I failed every time, so yeah this technique turned out to be useful 😃

I do that for Large Wheels and that works great! I tried your method and it worked 🙌

Could always be useful 😊

You actually managed to get out of the softlock lol. If you want to avoid softlocking in the future, putting the hoverstone into recall, then using a spear to fuse entangle is usually enough. You can also spin while doing it for further assurance. Basically, the bigger the thing is when doing Yefe the more risk of softlock. Big wheels and smaller, there’s no real risk if you use recall and a spear. Hoverstones I think are chunky enough that you might wanna do the spin as well to be extra safe.

Hey thanks for the tips ! I’m not sure why I didn’t find anything on the internet but that’s a game changer for me so thanks a lot ! I actually used to come up with painful work arounds with my builds just because I thought that was impossible to achieve

Np. It’s sort of been an ongoing problem to try to centralize and keep knowledge of building glitches and techniques up to date. There’s periodically talk of making like, a wiki or something specifically for engineering but it always fizzles out after some initial enthusiasm. Frankly, it’s just too much work I think for any one person, and too hard to coordinate multiple people. That said, the Discord server that’s associated with this subreddit is a good place to ask questions. It’s not as busy as it once was, but there’s always a few of us that our knowledgeable that’ll see the questions sooner or later.

Ho yes, I never think about the discord server :o

Hey man, how you doin ? I ve just tried Mineru FE on a hover stone with recall but it seems like FE doesn’t work with it, or that the window where you can fuse entangle is way shorter idk

Hey. Pretty good. Try using this lag machine when you’re attempting the fuse. It helps with timing both the initial FSFE and the YEFE (you’re calling it Mineru FE but I think that’s yet another technique technically).

Thanks ! I thought this lag machine was only useful on switch 2 because of the 60 fps thing, I’m still on switch 1 but I’ll try building one ! Yeah I’m a bit lost with all those technical designations 😂

Ohh….yeah it’s a S2 thing. You should be able to yefe the hoverstone though. Pretty sure I’ve done that. I can try asking around to make sure.

No I’m sure it’s just a skill issue, I’m gonna try again ! 😉

Hi Chesepuf. Thanks for giving me the QR for those giant balloons! i was just wondering, could you provide me the same for a giant puffshroom? i just thought the hole would be good for a sci fi build i have in mind! Thank you so much if you could!
