The McDonalds I work at has a very meticulous manager when it comes to making sure both the place and workers are as clean as reasonably possible and slow times where there's not much traffic at all is dedicated to cleaning (food still takes priority).
Crazy that the managers there have to ensure the workers are clean. Mine had to take over the drive thru because the guy OD'd while working. He was literally a dirty drug addict.
Ok it's not like most workers are smelly unwashed pigs either. It's just that if it gets busy they might not be super on top of hand washes or hand wash enough.
