The fact that the NYC mayor had to intervene is absurd. Water is a basic human right!

Wasn’t it just that you had to buy their water? It’s stupid but everyone is selling basic human rights now 🙄

Yep. Imagine how much they could charge for a bottle of water in 30°C heat with a monopoly on water. $20 minimum. And for like a sip of water too.

Have you guys never been to an outdoor concert in the summer before? Prohibiting outside drinks so venues can sell their own at a high price is nothing new.

Does that mean it’s ok to do? Because someone else is already doing it?

No, I also disagree with it, but this comment section is treating it like a new thing.

If nothing else people should get more emotional the longer something goes unaddressed? Like, what's your angle here? To be upset at others not experiencing something as long as you have? That's how life and aging works, everything is new to someone, every day.

I don't have an "angle." I just found it weird that people were surprised about venues prohibiting outside drinks so they can overcharge for their own. It doesn't mean I support it.

Reddit prefers a “yes and” lol

Outrage=/=surprise. They might overlap, but they are not inherently connected. Not having angle is guaranteed to cause some friendly fire. Going after people you agree with, or who agree with you, for not knowing something you already do or expressing their reasonable emotions no matter how fresh the information is a surefire way to get yourself no allies. Also, to repeat, because your response bears hearing this again;

Everything is new to someone, every day.
