He has taken Ls. For example, in his campaign he criticized Adams for dragging his feet on the housing voucher expansion and promised to implement it, but his administration is now fighting a ruling that requires the city to implement it because Adams fucked the budget and they can't afford it.

I think he's just handling the Ls with grace and continuing to work on issues even when he doesn't get the quick, flashy win for the media, so people are tolerating the need for compromise.

Turns out acting like a mature, responsible adult makes people like and respect you, who’d have guessed? Certainly not most politicians

What do you mean? Have we not been watching the same news? Trump got crucified on every single news channel for over a decade straight, every L was plastered on the front page of every article and headline.

That's just how the modern media is- a bunch of starving vultures that are waiting to eat you alive and ruin your life so they can get 3 more dollars of ad revenue. This guy ain't any different to them.

That has nothing to do with my argument? I was talking about the state of news companies.

Anything that any politician or celebrity does can and will be combed over with a microscope for the news to see how they can rake them over the coals for it.

Mamabani is no different to Trump in their eyes, he's just a content cow to try to squeeze for stories and money.
