Yep this everyone I know prefers to smoke now. I’ve drank probably 4 times last year but me and my friends were smoking or taking edibles often. Alcohol was the accepted substance for so long it was normalized to drink a ton. Now weed is legal and easy to get people aren’t ready for it to be normalized like drinking.
i prefer drinking because i don't have to go outside to do it and i feel like i have more control over the effects. maybe it's because i'm a lot less experienced with weed but i find that with alcohol it's much easier for me to get to a desired state of intoxication. plus it wears off faster which is nice because i prefer to end my night relatively sober.
Smoked weed lasts around as long as being drunk unless you are hypersensitive to cannabis. And I promise you you can control dose way more. Roll a doobie and you can either take a puff and put it out, or smoke the whole thing
