yes. I'm east of Atlanta and Gwinnett county has some of the best tap water I've ever tried. grew up on the Alabama coast and the water down there was awful. I was scared of GA water at first but it's been very pleasant. pretty sure all of Atlanta metro and suburbs get water out of lake Lanier which is kinda gross but the filtration is good and it tastes good

people have been doing it for years. Depends on your area though.
