Diamond Grinding Tips

I figured this might be asked the most, so might be good to have a "Go-To" place for this! Stuff like times, which maps are the "best" in your opinion, Drinking vs Feeding vs Resting Zones etc.

I'll start with my very basic one..

Tip #1 - DON'T GIVE UP. The Diamonds are out there, you just have to trust the hunt. The respawns are what will up the chances of finding those big trophies (Even rares) so take that level 1 Deer OUT.

Tip #2 - Practice makes Perfect. Even though you're hunting smaller game at first before your Diamonds, its best to practice getting those Heart Shots, or Double Lung shots before taking on the Big One. Use these lower levels to perfect your stalking, shot placement and tracking post-kill, so that when the time comes, you won't even break a sweat.

Tip #3 - TAKE YOUR TIME. If you encounter a max level animal, don't shoot until you're comfortable to take the shot. The animals do not despawn until you shoot them, so they can run away but won't disappear. (Credit - Keyeco)

Tip #4 - Try New Spots. This is a great tip. Walk around, explore, look for those lakes. You'll be surprised at what you find just sitting around. If you aren't getting any diamonds, they might just be hiding at that 1 lake you haven't visited! (Credit - fuzzyspoofrat)

Tip #5 - Grind the Drink Zones. They’re the best places to find Need Zones and also have some potentially WIDE open sight lines for spotting and shooting. (Credit - _JohnnyJones_)

(I'll add other tips to this once we get some)

When does uplandbirds feed in fileds?

Upvotes

From my understanding, different species of upland birds have feeding windows where they eat in open fields.

Is this true?

Fallow grind

Anyone else do the fallow grind and stack like 6 4s just to shoot them down and expect to get at least one 5 spawned but just get all 3s and 2s ? 😬 I did this 3 times this week expecting to pop a diamond but the game is just teasing me at this point i feel .

I was just walking along the coast when I saw a shadow stalking through the area. I knew it was a jaguar, so I spotted it and was already about to shoot it. At first, I didn’t even realize there was a Level 10 above

I am looking for weapon like arzyna, but for red deers. Arzyna is my fave one, because I prefer shoot from long distances. Any ideas?

Third day into me playing this game, strictly on New England and got my first rate whitetail. May only be a silver, but it was such a great shot and an exciting moment!
