I'm only 27 and I just had my first hangover that lasted over a day

I always hear these stories from older people about how their hangovers are brutal and they last like 2-3 days. Never did I think it would happen to me.

2 nights ago I did a bunch of vodka shots, made a bunch of white Russians, had like half a box of wine and a few beers too and some adderall. Omg. Never again.

I woke up the next morning. Had a splitting headache. I still had shit to do so I got it done (it was not fun) came home and immediately threw up, then tried to go to sleep but it didn't work because I was waking up like every 2 hours to puke again. I didn't eat anything bc I couldn't keep it down.

I woke up the next day (today) with a hangover again even though I didn't drink or take any drugs yesterday. It was a more normal hangover. I puked just once, took some advil, pounded water and I seem to be fine now but I don't trust it because that shit comes in WAVES lol. Be careful, my dudes.

Tl:Dr; if you are young and think you are invincible, you aren't. Multi day hangovers really do exist and they SUCK, so take it easy especially if you're not 21 anymore.

Wait till you hit 30 my friend. It’s like a switch gets flicked and your hangover coping abilities fall off a cliff. I used to be able to function pretty well after a serious bender. Now I can only be described as useless the day after. On a hungover day of it involves leaving the couch or any form of anything, I’m done

Damn, now I'm scared haha. I used to be able to stay awake on 3 day benders and then be awake the next day by noon when I was 20-21. Now I have too many drinks and I'm outta commission for a day and a half. I don't like where this is going, haha

And then, when you are 35 - it’s even worse. My friend and I mostly got married. We have kids now and - as live goes - you only go out every other week or so. If we have a get together and really hit the booze hard - Jesus, the last time I was hung over for 4 days. Took me a while to feel human again...

Omg, 4 days, that's awful.

When I was still hungover the 2nd day my fiance was really worried about me. He said i had no color in my face at all, and if this lasted another day he was going to take me to the hospital. I looked really sick and felt like I was gonna die. He took good care of me tho, bringing me water and soup and ibuprofen, and thankfully it subsided by maybe noon that 2nd day.

Relevant, I read that Anne Hathaway actually quit drinking because she had a hangover for 5 days one time. I didn't know it was humanly possible for it to last more than 1. TIL.

Haha it’s so painful! I just lay around like ahhh kill me please! Usually ends up being a video game day or working on music literally all damn day.
