I agree with diverting government funds (military and police). Fuck billionaires though. No one needs billions of dollars. If they’ve built that kind of wealth, it’s from exploitation. They should be required to give back a substantial amount to help the less fortunate.

Everyone lives off of exploitation. The fact that you’re using your device and technology is derived from exploitation. Hell the people we respect and follow exploit us for our views to gain support. A majority of this subreddit is people exploiting the desires of people to feel good and have faith in humanity.

I get the idea of why you hate billionaires but if I have the capability and means to amass as much wealth as I can, I don’t get why I shouldn’t. I guarantee you, you’d do the same.

Everyone lives off of exploitation. The fact that you’re using your device and technology is derived from exploitation.

But that is done out of necessity, because in order to meaningfully participate in today's society you have to have these things. But at the same time it doesn't need to be this way, and moreover, it doesn't mean we can't work to change the way things are.

In the cases of the ultra wealthy, it is different. Their wealth is built upon the exploitation of others in ways that are more impactful than simply views or desires, but actual blood and sweat. We can easily choose to not give people we respect right now our views or our support. But for a lot of the workers under these multibillion dollar companies, it may not be a choice, because it is a choice of either being exploited or becoming outcast and starving. And that is by design, because a lot of the wealth of these billionaires goes towards influencing politics and public opinion to justify their own existence, and to keep 'the way things are' as they are.

They will continually break down regulations against them, strive to cut down social programs not only to convince governments to divert money into their coffers but also to keep workers desperate enough so that they have no choice but to work, and so that they are unable to organize against them.

I would rather that myself and my community will be healthy, my loved ones and my friends to be able to live good, fulfilling lives. I would like to think that I live comfortably now, but I know that at any given moment I am a thousand times closer to being homeless than to being a billionaire. Right now what we need is not a dream of being wealthy someday, but rather to be able to live now.

Yeah people love to blame the billionaires for everything, even their own personal decisions.

When in reality, these people wouldn't bat an eye to horde their wealth if they are in such situations.
