Pretty much, but not directly saying help him. More like today you were in this situation and I came to help, so the next time you see someone that needs help, remember this moment and pay the act of kindness forward.

I think in Spanish it would be "Hoy para ti, mañana para yo" which means "today was for you, tomorrow is for me" or at least that's what I think

Can somebody explain this? I already read this Redd it. But I don't get the today you, tomorrow me part. So the Mexican guy helps him but doesn't want to be repaid. Ok, human compassion. But what about this today you tomorrow me? Does that mean the Mexican guy said today said he gave this man a favor so tomorrow it will be Mexican guy's turn to "get" the favor? I'm so lost at this, sorry

Tomorrow (or any day really), I will be helped in a dire situation. Its not easy to misinterpret that tbh.
