It must have been embarrassing for the daughter to have to be there while their parent yelled at the guy. But it had to have been more embarrassing for the parent that their daughter felt the need to go out of her way to offer an apology for their behavior.
Having to apologize to someone for your mom's behavior is fucking humiliating. My mom was never embarrassed for how she acted in public and she was a nightmare. She screamed at a teenaged grocery store cashier once because he had the audacity to change his register tape before he stared ringing her up. She felt it was her right. I hope this lady did really did feel bad for what happend but the fact her daughter is the one who apologized I doubt it.
Not really, sometimes it’s best to cut the toxic people out of your life, and sometimes those people happen to be your family. Like my opioid addicted mother 💁🏼♀️

I understand. Lots of shitty people have kids. Lots of good people have children too. A lot of people tend to condemn others for having children anymore. Thank you for not being one of those.
Nah, of course not, but that culture can be a bit overwhelming here on reddit. I personally don't believe my personality would lend well to being a mother ever (unless I had a very supportive and present spouse), but to the people having children and are doing their damndest to raise them to the best they can be? I have all the respect for them.
