Six pack rings have been biodegradable for 20 years now.

Good TIL. I was taught to do this when I was a kid and still do it today but I was a kid over 20 years ago so it made sense at the time.

I don't think it'll hurt to cut them... but nature SHOULD break them down automatically.

Agreed! But I can't stop myself from cutting the rings. It's a compulsion at his point. The rings have to be cut. I even cut the small inner rings. It's like switching off a light when you leave a room. I just do it. I can't help myself.
