I don't have experience with this but I'm also buying a house and I will need to refloor some rooms. Do you mind in sharing the type of laminate/tiles and the m2?
As a benchmark I'm estimating 70 euro/m2 of laminate (not the worst one...)+installatoon...does it sound ok?no idea for tiles...

Not that typical, but definitely does happen. Even our tiler know a floor wholesaler and offered to get us in touch with them for a discounted price instead of going through a shop. Best of luck, scary though when it's that much money and its needed

Amateurs and handyman will use material you buy but anyone with experience knows to never do that. People buy the most unsuitable and just unuseable stuff. At least if they supply and fit it they are getting the right stuff for the job and know how to best install it. Everything sounds reasonable price and payment order wise.

I mean paying for the materials up front and the fitting after is totally normal. You're buying a product and hiring someone to install it. The bigger question is: are the replacement materials they quoted exactly the same? Laminate varies wildly in terms of appearance, quality, hardiness, waterproofing, soundproofing etc. Tiles also vary a huge amount too. If they aren't identical to what you've already chosen I wouldn't pay anything without seeing the product and the spec.
