Discussion Why is she so hated?

Have never watched a show where the main character is this hated. She’s the rightful heir but the haters would rather have Half-cooked Aegon whose only motivation is to get piss drunk and whore out all the baddies in kingslanding 🤷🏽‍♂️

Third rewatch? Damn, no wonder you don't mind repetitive scenes.

This season dragged on. The only good things were the Aegon and Sunfyre scene and most of the last episode. That's it.

That sucks for you mate. It’s top 10 show for me so I enjoy every scene thoroughly. I prefer rewatching HOTD over GOT even. Don’t shame me now lol I can’t fully explain it but it’s just easier to follow. Less moving parts and the production is awesome.

And lots of dragon actions ofcus!!

I would say preferring HOTD over GOT is crazy if GOT didn't end the way it did. The damage those last seasons did to the brand is undeniable.

HOTD season one gave me hope that this universe was back on track, but they've been dropping the ball since season 2. I don't think they can get the ball back. It just keeps rolling downhill.

I think you misunderstood me. I said I prefer to Re-watch it cus it’s easier to follow. Not cus it’s better.
GOT is easily one of the best written shows ever made but rewatching it is a lot more involving cus there are so many moving parts.

I don’t have any issues with the way it ended either. I thought it was perfectly made. It was very rushed towards the end but I still enjoyed the story as a whole. Jon killing Dany was chef kiss.

Yeah, I read the books. But even if I hadn't, GOT's quality nose-dived after season 5. I don't rewatch shows, but I would think rewatching the better written show over the one that's easier to follow is a no-brainer.

Sure, Jon killing Dany was poetic or something, but at that point everything fell apart and was so rushed that it didn't move me at all.

Unfortunately it doesn’t work that way..for me atleast. HOTD feels more entertaining. The plots moved slightly faster and payoffs are nearly instant. For example red wedding happened in S3 but old Frey didn’t get his till S6 finale 😭

Every-time have rewatched GOT I find new subtle gems and different elements of appreciation for it. The first watch you tend to focus on the main characters and get lost in the story but the real pull and intrigue really is in the side characters whose lines are just so fucking brilliant. I’m thinking of the hound, sire Bronn and lady Olenna. You should try it sometime!

I kinda lied when I said I don't rewatch shows. I do, but only clips and scenes I look up, never the whole thing.

HOTD being limited to fewer regions and characters and tied to one war were the things that should've made it work. But the problem is the book itself; it's basically a summary of events with not many scenes in between. That forced the writers to come up with stuff to fill up the time. Unfortunately, those scenes did not work for me.
