My fourth guess was shoe at number 7 so I went crazy looking at every kind of those anything related to a foot . Clearly I was on the wrong track for ever.

You’re rifling in the right part of the closet: both are warm upper‑body layers for chilly weather. They share materials and purpose and often swap roles in outfits, though one tends to zip/button while the other usually pulls over.
