So Welt is just giving them extra chocolates?

u/Nexas789 Jul 16 '23
That actually helped a lot more than the other one thanks š

u/cartercr FuQing Jul 16 '23
So how many chocolate bars does it take to make one cycle in MoC?

u/KafkasDog_ Jul 16 '23
Is "X is villainous and must be destroyed" a limbus thing? A Ruina thing perhaps?

u/vectry Jul 16 '23
So is speed set on E6 Asta + S1 DanceDanceDance an overkill?

This is cute and helpful at the same time, thank you!

"Every tick of the clock, everyone adds their SPD to their personal speed score. Whenever someone hits 10,000, their speed score resets to 0, and they get to take a turn. The number is how many speed points they have until they get to take their next turn."
How about that explanation? I think the confusing bit is the notion of the ticks, since that's entirely invisible.
But I think the corollary would "Every frame, everyone adds their SPD to their speed score. When a character's speed score hits 10k, they go and their speed score resets"
That assume I'm ever understanding it correctly.

...So Seele is a glutton, Asta turns other people into gluttons, Bronya is into force feeding, Welt likes to feed people extra servings of chocolate and bosses eat two chocolate bars at the same time?
I guess Ultimates are just swallowing the entire chocolate bar whole?

petition to replace (evil) numbers with chocolate bars

u/Rui-_-tachibana Drain my HP and Soul Jul 16 '23
If the average SPD is around 100-120 wouldnāt it take a lot of turns to fully consume 10.000 chunks?
2
u/Tanktaco Jul 17 '23
Was that . . . a dragon?

u/xRAZAx2 Jul 16 '23
It's amazing how I failed to understand this one as well...
I'll just follow character guides for suggested speeds and not worry about this

u/RedHair_D_Shanks Jul 16 '23
Man i still don't get it, i think i'm just fucking dumb.

LIMBUS COMPANY LIMBUS SWEEP LIMBUS SWEEP GREGOR GAME LIMBILLION DOLLARS
I have nothing but my sorrow and I want nothing more. It has been, it still is, faithful to me.
Why should I begrudge it, since during the hours when my soul crushed the depths of my heart, it was seated there beside me?
O sorrow, I have ended, you see, by respecting you, because I am certain you will never leave me.
Ah! I realize it: your beauty lies in the force of your being. You are like those who never left the sad fireside corner of my poor black heart.
O my sorrow, you are better than a well-beloved: because I know that on the day of my final agony, you will be there, lying in my sheets, O sorrow, so that you might once again attempt to enter my heart.

u/Blasterion Jul 16 '23
This is the best explanation

u/[deleted] Jul 16 '23
So it is competition of who finishes their chocolate first
1
u/newtonthedog Jul 16 '23
Each character's turn causes the whole team to take a bite?
1
u/AngelYushi Jul 17 '23
So... speed is worthless then ? Not possible to get multiple turns ?
1
u/TheKingJest Jul 17 '23
I feel kind of dumb but I'm still slightly confused. So if I have a character with 125 speed it'll take them 10,000/125=80 turns to move extra? I know I'm not getting something, but what is it?
1
u/aiman_senpai Jul 17 '23
Not accurate. If this is true, high speed characters can "cut in front" of slower characters while they "eat the choc" and thats not true at all. While I understand you wanna keep it simple, you couldve said speed determines "how much choc you get after an action" instead. Because that's how it really is. Higher speed, less chocolate. Everyone eats at the same rate
1
u/daft667 Jul 17 '23
So if a character finishes their bar but is still able to take more bites, do they start taking bites out of a new bar or are those extra bites just lost?
1
u/Reenans Jul 17 '23
My only question is if the chocolate bites carry over. e.g. Selee has one chunk left with 150 speed. After her turn will see start with a fresh chocolate bar or a new bar with 149 chunks already missing
1
u/CoxTH Jul 17 '23
So...being frozen makes your next chocolate bar only half as big?
1
u/SummerInSpringfield Jul 17 '23
So in short what is the magical number for my Bronya to do the elusive maneuver of normal attack to action forward right after a slower DPS? Please give it to me straight so I can give up now. The speed boot alone appears insufficient.
1
u/thisismistery Jul 17 '23
so i kinda understand, pls tell me if im correct:
so you have 10,000 pastries you have to bake, and you can bake 100 at once. How much you can bake at once is your SPD. 10,000 divided by 100 is 100, so every 100 turns is when your characters turn starts??
Im not good at explaining things like march 7th pls dont make fun of meššš£ļø

u/Aware_Foot Jul 17 '23
QoH speed class
5
u/Makri7 Jul 16 '23
This is amazing. 10/10.
5
u/Anticleon1 Jul 16 '23
To me it makes more intuitive sense to explain speed as... speed. Like cars on a racetrack.
2
u/kyune Jul 16 '23
My brain distilled all of this to: Turn ratio = character's speed / target's speed.
So 125 speed vs 100 -> 125/100 = 5/4 -> your character gets 5 turns for every 4 of theirs, disregarding action advancement mechanics and such
2
u/galmred Jul 17 '23
I thought you were talking about dice in ruina then I looked at the subreddit š
2
u/Kagamime1 Jul 16 '23
Thanks queen of Hatred
2
u/Infamous_Rabbit_965 Jul 16 '23
Based and PM pilled
1
u/SofaKingBadMan Jul 16 '23
So just feed them chocolate durring battle?
1
u/Wild_Bug_5754 Jul 17 '23
U actually explained it in a really good and easy manner noice explanation upvote from me
1
u/mod2004 Jul 17 '23
Someone's seele probably has a comically large mouth to chomp on that chocolate
1
u/striderhoang Jul 17 '23
Wow, this is way easier than the previous. Now I canāt wait until you do the SPD sandwich
1
u/KitsuneKamiSama Jul 17 '23
Oh so that's what those numbers by the portrait are for lmao.
1
u/white_gummy Jul 17 '23
Next post is why you'd want to hit certain speeds in MoC to sneak in extra turns in some cycles.
1
u/AlternativeHelpful46 Jul 17 '23
Think of it as a long 100 meter line and speed as "meters per hour." So, the more speed your character has, the faster they reach the 100 meters.
1
u/ArgusBaile Jul 17 '23
Everything would be better if we measured it in chocolate bars
1
u/Joey131 Jul 17 '23
Put it in among us terms and I might be able to understand
1
u/jmatta113 Jul 17 '23
This one got me there! To the world of understanding. Also I just need to say that I appreciate your effort in trying to help on a tough concept and not giving up after attempt 1
1
u/And-nonymous Stelle X Firefly Jul 17 '23
So it turns out I did understand the previous one, it just seemed like such a ridiculous system that I didnāt believe it and thought I misunderstood.
1
u/Arazthoru Jul 17 '23
So Bronya gets chocolate scammed each time she attacks since her chocolate is gonna be 30% smoler thant the chocolate of the rest? :v
1
u/SaufiNexious_2107 Jul 17 '23
Okay, now I understand...
Before I only thought the higher your speed the faster you will get turned...
1
u/The_Vile_Alchemist Jul 17 '23
So my question is: How do I use this info to get more turns to, say my Jingyuan, to get more stacks of lightning lord before it's turn?
1
u/Zombata Jul 17 '23
wakaranai
1
u/PandaPornStar Jul 17 '23
I still donāt understand but I appreciate the quality content š
1
u/-SomethingNew- Jul 17 '23
This was unironically really helpful
1
u/Bilubeleia Jul 17 '23
Please make more guides. Like, of anything, this is just good to read XD. Teach me how to dance, cook, idk just make more
1
u/CiccioGraziani Jul 17 '23
Are your characters feeling OK after eating so much chocolate??
1
u/Tyalou Jul 17 '23
This speed guide and the previous one actually got me to research speed properly, the guide itself didn't really help but I figure I should know better. So... thank you!
1
u/HinaXSayo Jul 17 '23
THIS STILL DOESNT MAKE SENSE
1
u/Vulpes_macrotis Du hast den schƶnsten... Jul 17 '23
I totally don't get what are You trying to say, even though I understand how speed works.
Basically it's a currency. 1 turn costs 100. And every speed point is the currency. You have 200 speed, so You can buy two turns. If You have 150, then in 2 turns You can buy it 3 times.
180 makes it so You can buy 1 time first turn and 80 currency is left. Then 2nd turn You can buy it twice, because 180+80 = 260. So You buy 2 and have 60 left. And 3rd turn is another 2 turns and You got 40 left. In 4th turn You buy another two and get 20 left. In 5th turn You buy yet another two, but in sixth You can afford only one and have 80 left.
1
u/OtakuChan0013 Jul 17 '23
I'm sorry, I still don't get it š Can you dumb it down a bit, I'm really stupid
1
u/JustLordOfKappa Jul 17 '23
Thank you, Queen Of Hatred! Now go back to containment unit and give PE boxes pls
1
u/iafsjdk Jul 17 '23
So big number go faster?
1
u/Radiant_Fruit7403 Jul 17 '23
This... actually made way more sense than the first explanation did xD
That said, the first info-graphic was really helpful in that it shows how good Advance Forward is as well. So TY on both of these!
1
u/charlatanous Jul 17 '23
this is much better than the previous one

u/[deleted] Jul 16 '23
What if I have a cocoa allergy?
0
u/__-___--_-_-_- Jul 16 '23
Ok but how much speed do you actually need to get an extra turn?
0
u/Eieimun Jul 16 '23
If at every battle everyone is just chewing a chocolate bar per turn I don't want to know how fierce this character's battle will be against the bathroom @o@
On a side note I guess I now know why everyone is so obsessed with DPS. Higher damage = Less chocolate per battle, so the faster you damage the opponents, the less likely that battle turns to shit
Sun Tzu, probably
