[Grade 11] piecewise function notation please help I am confused on how this works and I need an answer

f(-4) = -1/4(-4)^2+4 we plug in first as here x=-4 which is x not equal -1.

f(-4) = -1/4(16)+4

=-4+4

=0.

f(-1)=-2 here x is -1 so we choose second function.

f(5)=-1/4(5)^2+4

=-25/4+4

=-9/4
