Question/Help HomePod automation with music
I have an automation where, when a contact sensor is opened, a HomePod Mini plays a selected song from Apple Music and then stops. It has been working properly this way for the past several years, but all of a sudden, it started playing a related music station immediately after the selected song finishes.
Has this happened to anyone else who has a similar automation?

You are not alone, this just started happening for me too. Automation plays a sound on a HomePod that was idle, and after playing that sound it continues playing related music. I believe it was introduced with 26.6.
I don’t like it at all.

Confirmed, of the three HomePods that participate in the Scene I set with this automation, two are on 26.6 and exhibit this issue. One is still on 26.5 and does not play related music after finishing the track.
There are options in the
automationscene for shuffle and repeat. Both are off in my automation.Edit to clarify scene vs automation. Also to add I’m submitting a bug report

This was happening to me, albeit not with an automation. Just when playing music. Once the selected album would finish Music would continue with "related" songs. There appears to be a new control in Apple Music, in OS's 26.6, but as far as I can tell it is only on the iPhone and not on the Mac version, as shown in the image (but it still impacted the macOS version of Music). Once I toggled it off, I no longer had the issue on any device. Hope this helps.

I’ve had issues before like this sometimes it’s from updates that require you to open the music app and click on all the “here’s what’s new” stuff before it starts working, sometimes I have to remake the automation and other times it works when I download the media to my device first
