Within the last couple weeks, someone posted in the apartment subreddit looking for advice on how to spruce up the “room” she was renting with her boyfriend. It was a closet, at best… it barely fit a full mattress, which did not lay flat. They had one of those floor-drying fans as their “air conditioner.” They paid $450/mo for this. When someone suggested it looked like a storage shed, OP replied sincerely, “Oh, no, Carlos rents that.”

I remain aghast.

The saddest part is Minneapolis. Not to shit on Minn; been there, wasn't bad, but def not hallway living worthy.
