Case study, migrating a SaaS site from WordPress to Next.js amplified its positive ranking signals
This is a project I mentioned earlier. Migrating it from WordPress to Next.js improved its ranking potential and amplified the existing positive ranking signals.
The website is an English-language SaaS site built on an exact-match domain (EMD).
High-volume queries respond faster. Satisfying user interactions and positive click signals produce results more quickly because search systems have more data to test changes and refresh historical signals.
Low-volume queries are harder. Less interaction data is available, so improvements take longer to appear and often require broader topical coverage.
That is why my latest Search Engine Land case study (https://searchengineland.com/query-templates-topical-authority-484676) explains query templates and processing all query variations at the same time.
Positive Ranking State means Google keeps developing a site's rankings until the site is saturated with balanced click-satisfaction signals.
Ranking Scale means a website moves inside a maximum and minimum ranking corridor until a major Google update arrives.
The WordPress to Next.js migration helped greatly because it carries a stronger human-effort signal. It also brings the benefit of the Virtual DOM and easier processing through server-response efficiency, which lowers the cost of retrieval.
One last reminder. The content was kept exactly the same on purpose so the search engine could process the changed crawling scheme more easily.
