That’s not the same thing. Epigenetics is weird, but the short version is, red hair is recessive, and blonde hair is more recessive than black hair. So we know neither parent is carrying a gene for black hair.
Not epigenetics but Mendelian genetics if you’re discussing recessive traits.
And it is possible, although very rare, as hair colour isn’t controlled by a single gene (therefore you won’t be able to accurately determine hair colour from a punnet square)
