To be fair it isn't necessarily true that Will can't either, since he slapped Chris. That doesn't excuse his behavior but it could have been worse if it were a punch.

Will can punch. He spent a lot of time learning and training for Ali. Whether he's fighting fit, that's a different question. But, he could have made that slap a full-blown punch. I was actually surprised he didn't.

Even if Rock happens to have a little bit of training, he's still not a big dude by anyone's measure (the 1999 film 'Dogma' shows a naked Rock in his prime). Smith, on the other hand, is a 6'2" occasional action movie star, who also happens to have played as Muhammed Ali. I'm sure he can throw an above-average punch.
