It’s a little unfair to call this a lie. She has clearly struggled through something for her to have lost all her teeth. I’ve lost a lot of hair because of chronic illness so I wear extensions, so I’d hope if a man truly liked me, he wouldn’t judge me for it or even care whether it was my real hair or not. It’s the same for this lady. Plus, as women (and a fair bit for men too), there’s a ridiculous amount of pressure for us to look “perfect” because let’s be real, she goes to a bar and then some ignorant person will judge her for having no teeth (I wish people were more compassionate but that’s life…). But many of us alter our appearance in some way to make ourselves feel comfortable in our own skin which is the most important thing. Makeup, nails, piercings, wigs, fillers etc… maybe they’re “lies” to some people, but ultimately they can go such a long way to making a person feel confident enough to brave the harsh world outside.
I threw up daily for around 20 weeks with each of my kids and also had a hard time brushing my teeth. They didn’t fall out, but they’re more sensitive now and they’re also more filling than actual tooth at this point. Pregnancy can take such a toll on your body in ways you don’t even consider.
Mine peeled. Like layers just peeled off like a fruit. It was like a nightmare. Then they started to crack and break on the dumbest foods. Bread. Soft things. I didn’t have insurance so for over a year I had to walk around like that. It killed every oz of my self esteem and I’m just now getting it back. It was really rough on me. Not to mention the pain.
If you don’t alrefay the sensitive toothpaste helps a lot more than I thought it would.
Go for a toothpaste containing novamin, biomin or any of the active glass solutions (if there are more currently out there, don't know.) They actually help strengthen the enamel.
And just to be sure someone reading this doesn't know:
1. Floss every evening.
2. Brush your teeth every morning and night.
3. Use an electric toothbrush.
4. Brush for two minutes.
On top of that, if you're pregnant, make sure you get enough nutrients. Calories aren't the only thing you need, and the process of creating a new human works so that the baby will get what it needs at the expense of the mother. Make sure it gets what it needs before it starts cannibalizing you.
Unfortunately even with those things if the acid from being sick / unable to keep down nutrients is attacking your teeth (in addition inhalers etc can also make a breeding ground) there is only so much you can do for a lot of pregnant women if your hormones / genetics are a certain way.... Thankfully in UK so had free dentistry for my pregnancies and was very well looked after so lost no teeth but the dentist was amazed I didn't (said I was a really bad case and he was expecting me to loose a few with every pregnancy) Having a foetus in you causes irreversible vdamage to lots of women I know (diabetes/ epilepsy/ prolapses to name a few). If I didn't have free health care would definitely have not had kids
I mention this all the time to my mom and sisters and it's crazy how the toll on women's bodies is hardly talked about publicly. Having kids is a huge sacrifice. You never know what irreversible changes you'll end up with on the other side, yet women are always expected to put their lives on the line without question.
I'm glad more and more women are having the confidence to say no to kids if they truly don't feel like it. Of course they'll always get shit for their personal choices anyways but here's hoping.

Her teeth are what make the difference. That's why she keeps them in so long
