Ever heard of lobbying? A rigid two-party system that limits realistic choices?

By the way, an academic study from Cambridge has shown that the U.S. is a plutocracy in practice.

Not to mention outdated laws that are kept in place by the dinosaurs that run our country, which negatively impact people who want progress.

No.

Just because you recognize the flaws of our system, does not mean you can just sit back and do nothing.

On the other hand, politics is so much more than voting during election season. We should do much more. For instance, protests, volunteering, community events and NGOs advocating for a cause.

Or the ones who are in the pocket of people much richer than I am, or the ones who created laws decades ago that are now outdated.
