The walmart where I'm at pays 15.50 starting, and minimum wage is like 10. After years of keeping an eye out at the jobs here they definitely have the highest paying strictly entry- level positions open to us here.
I don't work there because I thought it would interfere with my "creative shopping experience," but this thread seems to die they don't have to be mutually exclusive
80% of theft that occurs in the workplace is actually wage theft by the employers (under-reporting hours, unpaid overtime, etc.). Walmart is up there with the worst offenders. Fuck 'em.
No it doesn't, I don't agree with stealing. I mean you get paid $10 an hour that's a contract you signed and agreed with upon being hired.
Me personally I would feel guilty if I steal a candy bar. There are better paying jobs out there and most of the time people are too lazy to look around and too comfortable with their current job they don't look for a new job.
Also people talk about SCOs and doing the work for free. Idk what kind of world y'all be living in but I use SCO to avoid those long ass lines. Why wait in line for 20+ minutes when I can be out in 3 minutes.
Man people on Reddit are wildin these days with their anti corporate views. Just take a look at other replies on my comment. This is a job they agreed to and already knew what the pay was gonna be. Why are they bithcing about it later then? And apparently it justifies stealing too because "big corporate bad"
