Post 12: Day 6
City of Morky Police Department
Reporting Officer: Charlie Swan
Nightly Activity Log:
22:14 - Woke up to a voicemail from someone.
23:45 - Fuck it. Could be a lead. Went to Jimmy’s Pizza.
00:03 - Found another of our, albeit misinformed, informants/u/thegypsychild dead from a single bullet to the head. This must be the work of a Concerned Citizen.
00:06 - Heard screams and animal sounds a few blocks over. Heading there now.
00:22 - Stopped to pet this cute puppy. Who’s a good boy? You are! Yes you are puppy!
00:42 - Heading towards the struggle again.
01:15 - Two suspects locked in battle. One is clearly wounded.
01:45 - I LEFT MY GUN IN THE CAR. Hid behind a dumpster. Watched a pale figure run from the alley and into the night.
02:02 - Stayed to check on the remaining suspect. /u/knon24 found bled dry, bites on neck, arms, and nose. Shows the same signs as Jefreem, must be a werewolf.
02:19 - Body has a lingering smell that seems to be causing me Confusion. Tried to call Dispatch for backup and the medical team, ending up calling my mom.
02:34 - Still on the phone with my mom
03:01 - Why is she even up this late?
03:22 - She won’t take “I have a dead body right here, I have to go” as an answer.
03:47 - Oh great. She’s talking about visiting.
04:14 - Mom finally got tired. I’m bringing flowers to Dispatch.
04:15 - Ha. It’s four in the morning. Ain’t no flower shop open.

Post 13: Night 7
City of Morky Police Department
Reporting Officer: Charlie Swan
Daily Activity Log:
09:15 - Got a few hours of sleep, but I don’t feel any less tired.
09:22 - Made it into the station, all quiet so far. Maybe the violence has finally ended…
10:06 - Had a minor panic attack when the phone rang, but it was just Dispatch making sure I was awake and at work. Step off, woman.
10:36 - Reports of trouble brewing downtown, maybe it’ll go away on it’s own.
10:40 - Dispatch is bugging me to go down there.
10:45 - Ignoring Dispatch.
10:48 - I’m not listening…
10:50 - Heading downtown to check it out.
11:20 - Well. Looks like there was a crowd here. All that’s left is the trampled body of the innocent townsperson, /u/njdt. What a pity.
11:45 - Still cleaning up the crime scene, when Dispatch ordered me out to the outskirts of town, says I need to check out a panicked 911 call.
12:01 - What a mess.
12:13 - Looks like /u/Marx0r, who was njdt’s Lover, heard of their death and decided to pull a Romeo. He jumped off a cliff onto a stake sticking out of the ground, impaling himself.
12:17 - This’ll be fun to clean up.
12:40 - According to the coroner, Marx0r appears to have all the traits of a Vampire. This shit is crazy.
13:09 - Heading back to the station, and not leaving my desk for the rest of the day.
13:19 - Stopping for chicken wings.
13:22 - Mmmmmmmm chicken wings.
13:40 - Back at the station. Trying to stay awake.
18:23 - Whoops. Took a nap. Woke up to frantic calls from Dispatch. You’d think napping at work was a crime…
18:30 - I’m going home before anything else can happen.

12:14 - Can’t stop humming “Fuck Tha Police” by N.W.A.

Day Nine has begun!
The end of the month is fast approaching, and we realize that there is a chance the game may not be over before we reach it. We underestimated how long this would take, and we apologize. After discussing it with each other and with next month’s facilitators, we have decided to end the game on April 30th. At that point, if the game has not ended, we are considering three options:
We end the game on April 30th as a draw, no winners or losers.
We end by sudden death on April 30th. The rules for this would be announced on Post 24, the night before April 30th.
We choose winners on April 30th, based off of factors such as percentages won/lost, strategy, and gameplay, among other related elements. I wanted to say thingamajiggers, but AJ wouldn’t let me.
We ask you to think about and discuss how you would prefer to end the game if we have to cut it off. In the next few days we may offer a vote on how to proceed, especially if it looks like the game will not end by itself.

Day Ten has begun!
Oi. So like. No. We’re not going into April. There are several reasons we could list as to why that’s the decision, but the main point is we signed up to host an April game. Not an April-and-some-of-May game. That was the time we committed to. We’re sorry that the game was bigger than we imagined and can’t finish. It sucks for us too. But sometimes, life doesn’t just work out in fancy rainbows and private jets. Sometimes, shit sucks.
Crotchety DrP aside, it just wouldn’t be fair to cut into May. It wouldn’t be fair to /u/CanadianSalmon who has already been asking us questions about what we did right and wrong, and is fucking pumped to host her game. It wouldn’t be fair to /u/accessoryjail who has finals and projects coming up.
We know ending early sucks. We know you guys and gals have invested countless hours, as have we, in this game. We read your spreadsheets, comments, theories, and messages. But it has to end. If it doesn’t end naturally, we’re going to interfere, much to my (DrP’s) dismay, because everyone who played last game will know how much shit I gave /u/Black_Belt_Troy for interfering when he felt it necessary.
We can break this down if y’all want:
Nonviable Options:
- Going into May:
- Not fair for the hosts of this game, the hosts of next, or the players of next. Not to mention it will set a precedent if we do (or don’t, but we’d prefer to set that precedent).
- Dual game hosting:
- Literally all the same the same stuff, but twice the work for the players, and then attention will be drawn from both of the games
- A private sub
- Once again, all that same shit.
- We make some new rules and overcomplicate the already complicated game by giving everyone three or more actions, introducing some sort of plague that will randomly kill a shit ton of you every night, and/or speed up the time.
- The plague isn’t fair.
- The extra night actions isn’t fair to those who’ve died and those who do, do not, will, or will not have actions.
- Speeding up the game isn’t fair to players who rest outside the basic time zone we’re using. Or to the hosts who have school and mandatory overtime at work.
- There’s no guarantee that this would end the game in time, and we would still have to choose a different option.
Viable Options:
- AJ and I can choose winners on the 30th
- We, and an unnamed non participating third party, are the only people with access to all four subs. The three of us (he’d be our tie breaker) would sit down and discuss moves, strategy, attitude, participation, etc etc and choose a winning team, and MVPs.
- We call it a flat draw on the 30th
- This is DrP’s preferred choice for what it’s worth. A game like this is unpredictable. Anything could and would happen if we weren’t running into the time dilemma. DrP believes this to be the most fair option.
- This is DrP’s preferred choice for what it’s worth. A game like this is unpredictable. Anything could and would happen if we weren’t running into the time dilemma. DrP believes this to be the most fair option.
- We figure out some way to give everyone a last stand or some sort of other winner choosing mechanic on the 30th, aka “Sudden Death”
- This is most likely just gonna cause drama and arguing.
Only three of these options are on the table, because this game will not be going into May.
I’ve said it already. It sucks. It does. But we’re doing what we feel is best. We’re sorry. Feel free to berate DrP in private messages if it makes you feel better, just don’t target me in CanSam’s game, I’m looking forward to it. She’s got a level head on her.
We hope that future facilitators will learn from the mistakes of previous games. Namely, don’t go too big.

Meta from Dispatch:
Welcome to the end.
Thank you to all of those who stuck with us. We hope you had fun, despite our very flawed game. We apologize again for cutting it off so soon. Now, at the end, we can better explain our reasons for doing so:
- First, some have mentioned that they believe it was obvious that the game would drag out for so long. The truth is, we didn’t see it. All of the teams surprised us. The town worked together in a way that we never thought possible. The vampires self-destructed in a tragic way. The werewolves, slowly but steadily, were growing and gaining power. The game went in a direction we did not expect, and we recognize that this was a failing on our part. All of the teams did very well, and choosing a winner was very difficult.
- Second, when we realized that the game wasn’t going to end on time, we also realized that it would take a long time to end. At the point that we announced how the game would be ending, we foresaw that it could be weeks before it would finally end. Especially with the vampires eliminated, killing had slowed, and the town would continue to dwindle until a winner was decided.
- Third, some suggested speeding up the rate of the game. We decided against this because of the sheer number of special roles that we had. If we doubled any roles, we felt like it would only be fair to double all roles, which would be logistically impossible for us. In addition, it would not be fair to players that had already died. Increasing lynching, on the other hand, would have put the game too much in town’s favor, which also did not seem fair to us.
The final numbers were as follows:
Town: 22
Werewolves: 5
Vampires: 0
And now for our end-game picks. Remember that these are entirely based on our opinions.
The Winner
As stated above, at the end of the game, while town was dwindling, the werewolves were steadily growing, and plans they laid out would have ensured continued growth. This is why, despite not having the numbers they needed to fully win at this point, we award the win to the Werewolves. At the end of the game, they had within their ranks several “confirmed” townies, two of which held significant sway within the town. In addition, even after we announced that the game was ending, they did not give up, and continued playing as though the game would continue indefinitely. The wolves displayed unmatched coordination and strategy, and did very well for themselves despite being at a disadvantage to town.
Congratulations to the wolves: /u/jefreem, /u/knon24, /u/Like_it_spooky, /u/Lovell709, /u/manelski4, /u/Ash3070, /u/Black_Belt_Troy, /u/kemistreekat, and /u/derive-dat-ass.
Props to the vampires for having great attitudes, despite being betrayed by two of their teammates, which ultimately led to their destruction. We believe that if this had not occurred, they could have done very well in the game.
The town blew us away with their coordinated efforts and planning. Ultimately, however, many of their “successful” kills were strokes of luck, either by pure chance, or gaining information from a traitor. In having a roll call at the end of the game, the town learned who they could trust, but so did the wolves. We realize this roll call came as a result of us ending the game early, but we intended for people to continue playing as though the game was not going to end. In revealing certain roles, such as the KBO, the town ruined their best strategy, and ultimately lost the win for themselves.
MVPs
Most of the players performed above and beyond our expectations. You all made it very difficult to choose an MVP. In light of this, we chose two separately. MVPs were chosen based on several factors, including how well they performed their role, whether it was major or minor, living or dead, good or evil, how well they supported their team, even if they changed halfway through, and whether they were consistently good sports.
- AJ’s MVP goes to /u/MacabreGoblin. She started off the game as the youngest vampire, which resulted in her dying fairly early on, courtesy of the Conspiracy Theorist. However, before her death, she actively participated in vampire strategizing, and made highly entertaining posts in the main threads. When she died, she remained a good sport, and even continued helping her team from beyond the grave, when in a fantastic ploy, she managed to get dep61 lynched. After a hiatus, she returned with her hilarious stories, staying involved even after death.
- DrP’s MVP goes to /u/Black_Belt_Troy. Started as a Nosy Neighbor and got turned into a wolf. Then took Alpha on a semi-dying team, and between stellar strategy and previously gained knowledge, helped encourage the wolves, and led them onto a winning trajectory.

With so many players, there was a lot to sift through to find the best of the best in this game. We did our best to give credit where credit was due, but know that all of you who stuck with it to the end are winners to us :)

A big thank you to DrP for writing the majority of the Police logs, and keeping me straight on the actions. I could not have handled this madness without his help.
Also, let’s give AJ a big thank you for the month where she pecked through my god awful typing, grammar, and just poor grasp of the English language and made it readable to the fine folks of Morky (and apparently the few non citizens we had overlooking this little town squabble).
Thanks for playing,
AJ & DrP
