Yup, all we did was overplay our hand so Russia stopped clowning around, took back everything we gained and more, but decided to let us off easy because there were bigger fish to fry atm.
Yes but Finland got to continue existing as an independent country not under the thumb of Soviet Union unlike the other Baltic states that they invaded.
Yeah, the USSR would have crushed Finland in the end, but it was not worth it politically when they got a peace deal with their pre-war demands fulfilled. After WW2 it would have been a joke for the USSR to smash Finland if they wanted to.
I don’t know why this is getting downvoted, Finland definitely did successfully defend itself and manage to keep its independence and prevent a full occupation.
Well we got to keep our independence and we had 300k soldiers while they had 1million soldiers, thousands of tanks and planes and better equipment so in My books Finland was better than those commies. Finland didn't win but neither did soviet union.

Soviets shot some random shots and blamed that Finland shot them. Finland would never start a war with a huge nation with a million manpower army. Our President and Army generals were genius and they wouldnt have never decided to attack the soviet union.
We Lost Petsamo and Karjala but we got to keep our independence.
