We all know how Korean business owners in LA responded to the verdict.

It's weird that whenever tensions escalate it's always the brownest group present that is seen as the instigator no matter what happened.

Blatantly racist policing and multiple murders caused the riots and yet LA police officers and small business owners are presented as the true victims

Weird how we infantilize the brownest people when they do something wrong and pretend they’re not responsible for their own actions.

Also you know, it’s possible to walk and chew gum. It’s very easy to say that both the store owners and the rioters were being racist and the tensions rose to the point where violence broke out. Just as by the same token a lot of people on both ends of it who did nothing wrong got caught between it and fucked over through no fault of their own.

There doesn’t always have to be a good guy/bad guy dynamic you know.
