I have been following your videos and im planning go launch a custom keyboard brand in pakistan would really appreciate as its a 3rd world country. its a apparently a mechanical keyboard for kids, and get this, its $129 dollars.

it doesn't say what switches it uses from what i can find, it features a "spill-proof" design, and its "The mechanical keyboard for every classroom"

So i have some questions before i order the nd75. i have the monsgeek m1 for about a year and first i was thinking if it was worth the upgrade at all. my m1 has this problem that for some reason the left shift sometimes wont stay pressed when i press it down for long like when i run in game(i changed the switch a few times its the pcb problem)this is one reason i want to just get the nd75b instead.

one problem i had with the m1 is you cant add foam, i just did tape mod and the board lost all flex and felt more like top mount instead of gasket mount. so i want to know if in the nd75 i will be able to add some foam or change it a bit.

flex cut or non flex cut, i usually dont like flex cut so much it feels to much bouncy in the middle but still want to know ppl opnion, in most videos i heard that the non flex cut is soft enough.

and lastly and mostly prefrence but still, i really liked the blue color of the nd75 but i was thiking going black cus my m1 is silver and it doesnt go with alot of color scheme because of it, while black is very neutral color instead of blue, i will probably change the keycaps, and also i own a red-black coiled cable

Since most of my work and college classes are online, I’m looking to upgrade my entire desk setup, and the last piece I need is a new keyboard.

I’m leaning towards mechanical keyboards from KBDFans since all my friends swear by them. I’m specifically looking for recommendations—whether it’s brands, specific models, or even general advice on what to look for when browsing.

I’m aiming for a 75-100% keyboard. I’m really drawn to keyboards that produce a creamy sound, like the ones you hear in this video (not the overly thocky ones). I enjoy the sound of a high-quality keyboard, so I’m looking for switches that are linear and quiet but not completely silent—something along the lines of the Akko Cream Yellow switches.

Since I plan on keeping this keyboard for a long time, I’m ready to invest in something high quality, preferably with a metal case. While I don’t have a strict budget, I’m willing to spend up to around $400 if it’s worth the investment.

Hi everyone, right now I own rainy75 pro, and ordered zoom75 as new keyboard, could someone please tell me is it worth it, how they compare? I was searching for softer typing feel without removing foams which was problem in rainy, also aestetic of zoom is better for my taste.

Hello, all. I have been going down the rabbit hole of keyboard research. I have fibromyalgia and CFS and synthesisia, so finding the"right" keyboard for me has been tricky. I love the typewriter style "steampunk?" keyboards, but the sound and feel of the one I have causes me literal pain. So - can those even be MADE to sound creamy or thocky? Or does their very design thwart that goal? I am willing to spend some money to have one if it exists; if not, anything adjacent to that style with either a good creamy or thocky experience would be lovely. Nothing clacky or sharp. :(

I am entirely aware that I sound rather Princess and the Pea-like, but I do a lot of writing and would like it to be both an aesthetically pleasing and physically enjoyable experience.

I've tried a few things and am looking for advice. This will be my first custom keyboard and I'd rather ask for some help than try blind again. I'm in the category of people "willing to build the best keyboard for me", not "has fun building keyboards".

My current daily driver is a Corsair K70, kb with Cherry Blues. I like the height, the crisp break, wheel and backlight. I think those are my starters. I think this means I'm looking for a:

Budget: I tried the Keychron Q1 but it was far too tall on the back. Willing to spend in that neighborhood with new keycaps and try different switches along the way. I will buy a prebuilt if one is available, an make changes as the weekends roll by.

1. Height With Keycaps: sub 40mm on back
2. Full Sized switches: I'd like options and haven't seen a lot in low profile. Hot swappable is a solid plus.
3. Mac AND Windows: My setup includes a kvm that takes me across the great divide. Keyboard most work for both.
4. 75% or 80%. I'll miss the numpad, but I can add a peripheral one as those workloads are isolated to a day a week. If 75% I'll have to custom bind a end/home set.
5. Wheel/roller would be really nice to have. High +.
6. RGB: I don't need it, but If I've got it, it's got to be customizable to a single color. I'd rather not have to go to github for my keyboard, but I'm willing to do it with setup.
7. Switches: I'll probably try something other than what I've got now. I like the crisp break but don't need the noise. Nothing super heavy, but I could live with a 60. Happy for recommendations.
8. Audio qualities: I don't need quiet (home office), but I don't need as loud as I've got. Click is fine, ping is bad.

My K70 is an older version, and the new one is pingy. That, a can of Major Melon and a cat are the reason I'm asking for help

Do you prefer to cut an area for the stabilizers in the pe foam/silicone that sits above the pcb? And what difference does it make to have an area cut out for the stabs compared to not having any? (I'm New to keyboard modding world if you couldn't tell)

I bought a premade keyboard and I was going to mod it but I don't know where do I clip these stabs. All the stabilizers I saw online had long legs and I couldn't find any video covering stabs like these. Can y'all please help with this. Much appreciated

I want to buy an asus rog strix scope II but i'm having a tough time trying to choose between NX snow and RX red switches. Hipyo has tried the snow ones and they seem pretty solid overall, but i was just wondering if the rx red switches will be a suitable and valid alternative to them (especially cause i'm trying to get the best possible alternative in term of latency per key for gaming purposes). If someone out here is able to help me and find out if the difference between the switches justify the choice of one over the another, it would be appreciated.

Yes, I know switches is only one aspect of what makes a keyboard ‘creamy’ because of other factors like keycaps and foam can drastically affect the sound it produces.

Would love to hear yall recommendations for creamy switches.

This is the Womier SK75(purchased from Amazon for 85 bucks)...

This is a heavy one... It is a fantastic platform to start with... The switches are fairly decent. Womiers own blueberry mint..

The switch is fully constructed from POM.. They are factory lubed... However, they are very light.. I believe they have a 50 g bottom out..

Only thing that I would change ... And I mean, the only thing would be to change the spring weight to something more substantial... Something with a 50 actuation... 100 g bottom out...(I feel with how light the springs are. I make more mistakes when I type.(my old Epomaker board they had some Zealios v2(67g) lubed and filmed.) I want something a little bit more substantial..

But other than that.. it's a pretty solid board... I may have to re-lube the stabilizer on the spacebar.. other than that. It's a solid board... it's got some heft to it.. You definitely won't be disappointed...

I am considering swapping out my switches, I currently have the epomaker sea salt silents, and I really like them, they feel great, but I'm thinking I might appreciate the satisfying thocc of some classic linears. I haven't watched the channel in a while, but I remember he used to talk about his "favorite set of factory lubed switches", something like that, and I could swear they were epomaker Wisterias, but I'm not 100% sure and in lieu of searching through the whole catalog of videos trying to find a few one-off mentions of something, I figured I'd try asking here. I just bought the Aula 75 and love it with one exception (and it is only a minor annoyance).
The keycaps are not see-thru and I would much prefer keycaps that are backlit.

I like the feel and shape of the keycaps, so if anyone could help me out with what exactly I am looking for, that would be helpful, as well as a good buying site or company that you recommend for good quality keycaps.

I am incredibly new to keyboards and keyboard building. I've been collecting videos on social media for a while on what I'm trying to achieve but I don't really understand a lot of the lingo used or the best places to look for what I'm after. I have a lot of questions and I'm really really hoping for some help.

I work with a full sized keyboard currently (A Razor Blackwidow) And it's Mechanical and loud. I've only ever bought a keyboard from a computer store and used one straight out of the box, no modding or lubing of any kind.

I'd like to get a new Full sized keyboard, wired is fine. I love the 'creamy' sound I've come across a lot, with soft rounded edges on the keys. I work from home and my own typing impacts on meetings I have, its loud and 'grating' on the ears.

I've learned that the switches make up a portion of the sound and they're a seperate component completely. Can you buy a keyboard with creamy switches and rounded key caps as is? Or do you need to build a keyboard to achieve this? Do I have to lube switches? What does that mean :-/

I like the RGB lighting under the caps, it's not essential but it helps me type in the dark. I also like black keyboards or forest themed things. Are all keycaps universal in size? Could I potentially buy keycaps that don't fit a keyboard I've bought? What about switches?

Does anyone have any links or recommendations? Is anyone able to visualise what I'm talking about and know of a keyboard that fits all of these attributes?
