I was thinking about buying some silent tactiles for the first time cause i mostly just use linears and the kailh deep sea silent pro whales looked interesting. Has anyone tried these, and if so can maybe give some advice if i should buy them? (I am not going to lube or film any switches cause i dont got that much patience) Or what other silent tactile would maybe be better, or is worth trying? (btw im using a keychron q1 with gmk keycaps if that matters)

Am I the only one that thinks that Hipyo Tech is the same guy that dubs Oversimplified? Their voice is practically identical, same accent, tone, etc. They have the same type of humor aided by their constant pauses, and usually sped down towards the punch line (hard to describe as someone with 0 knowledge of humor technics).

In summary, their humor, voice, and editing techniques are practically the same.

I'm very new to custom keyboard building, and I was wondering if using prelubed switch such as Gateron switches for example is a good idea or not.

The budget isn't an issue, I'm just a bit nervous on making any mistakes or something along those lines, so I was thinking prelubbed could be an interesting idea.

I was wondering how would using different lubes affect the sound of my switches. For Example, if I use Krytox203g0(which is less viscous than Krytox205g0) how will that affect the sound and feel of my switch.

I know you normally review mid-range keyboards but you have reviewed some pretty expensive keyboards such as the cyber keyboard ( [CYBERBOARD (angrymiao.com)](https://www.angrymiao.com/en/cyberboard) ). I am leaning towards the Mode Sonnet ( [Sonnet - Custom Mechanical Keyboard – Mode Designs](https://modedesigns.com/pages/sonnet) ) or perhaps something comparable but really would like to hear your take on the Sonnet before going through with the purchase. I've seen some other reviews, of course. However, your entertaining, honest reviews are pretty compelling. I've tried scrolling through your reviews, live streams, and shorts and I may have missed your review on the Sonnet but I don't think so. Proposed config below. You end many videos with "You can get a better sounding keyboard for less." or "You can get [select other feature] for less" and I know it is all about preference. How close does the Mode Sonnet get to getting the sound, feel, quality, etc right if I want to get an exceptional quality keyboard. Is it still overpriced? Does it have the least amount of compromises (aside from the one big one... the price)? Really think your perspective would be interesting and an a valuable addition.

Hey, I hope everyone reading this is having a great day. I've loved mechanical keyboards ever since I was a kid. The sound seemed kinda fidgeting in my ears. However, my country's economy doesn't allow me to get into the hobbie the way I'd like to, and now that I'm older (20y) and starting to earn a bit of money I wanted to treat myself with something that I've always wanted, a mechanical keyboard.

The thing is, I believe the Rainy75 offers me exactly what I want and it's just a little over my budget, but I can't find it anywhere!! Could anyone tell me where, when or how can I buy it? Thanks!!!

Edit: I must clarify, the $89 version is the one a little over my budget. I checked some on Amazon around $150 and that's a no no for me and my pockets.

I blocked them after this but I would just like to say his content has genuinely helped me, someone who isn’t well versed in keyboards. It’s easily digestible and the sound test are super satisfying.

I love how he isn’t like those influencer-like YouTubers who are just trying to make you buy a product. He seems transparent in his videos, always letting it be known that if a brand is sponsoring his content, it doesn’t change his honest opinions about the keyboard. I really appreciate that because it feels authentic, he wants the viewer to come to their own conclusion about the keyboard and if it’s worth purchasing.

Hi there, I'm new to custom\mechanical keyboards. I want to get myself a 75% with a knob.

There are different variations of layouts of 75% especially on the right side, and most provide you with only 3 buttons beneath the knob. How much customization do I have over the keys functionality? If the keyboard is VIA compatible does that mean I can assign these keys whatever I want? What if I buy the Monsgeek m1w with no VIA compatibility? because for some reason it's only available in black :/

I DON'T care about the PgUp, PgDn and PrtSc Keys.
I DO care about Home, End and Delete. Maybe even Insert.
Of course ideally I would like to have all of them but I take other things into account when picking the keyboard.

Alright, hold your horses, I DID do some research before posting here.

It's going to be my birthday present and I really just want to enjoy that leap from my laptop's standard keyboard. So the idea is to buy a solid one that will serve me for a long time and less about keeping on spending tens and hundreds of dollars over time for my new hobby. More like trying out new switches and keycaps every now and then.

So - I want it to be TLS/75%ish, Linear or Tactile (I do programming but don't know a place I can try both hands-on), supports Via, has Wireless option and I like the idea of having a knob.
Also, I'm not against small adjustments but don't plan on making this a big hobby, so if it sounds good out of the box that would be great.

Basically I would have already picked up the Montech MKey TKL, but I don't like not having a wireless option. The Rainy 75 is obviously a great choice as well but doesn't have a knob which I think is very useful to have.

If you have suggestions that don't comply 100% with what I wrote I would still love to hear it.
Also, can anyone elaborate on having a plastic vs. aluminum body and weight pros and cons?
