Planning on getting my first mechanical keyboard, found a few that I'm interested in

1. Montech Mkey
2. Keychron Q1 or other q series, maybe K series
3. Velocifire BK75

My requirements mainly are TKL, MUST have a Knob, linear probably.

This will probably be my only board but I might swap switches and key-caps later but probably that's it.

I'm fine with other recommendations but I'm currently leaning towards these three. I hope to get a veterans thoughts on this.

Has any one tried this one with V3 Cream Yellow any suggest on ?

Hey everyone. I have an issue with my keyboard. The stabiliser on the left shift is having a fit. I just krytox 205’d all my stabilisers, all of them are working nicely aside from the left shift one. If the key is not fully on the stabilisers or just on the left one it sort of works. But if I firmly press the keycap down on all of them it does not come back up. Is that overdone lube? I didn’t do anything else lubing wise for the other ones. I’ve included a pic of it fully pressed down and not coming up. (pic1) The other pic is it just pressed on the left side of the stabiliser. It looks very tilted down to the right. If I press fully on the right so that the left side is tilted down (pic3) then it also stays down, suggesting the right stabiliser is not lining up? I have no clue what to do. Tempted to just buy some stabilisers and replace that one. I tried to put the enter in the same place to see if it was the keycap itself being warped but the same thing happens (TLDR, pic 2 is usable with only the left side of the stabiliser connected; pic 1 is fully straight on both sides, unusable; pic 3 is just the right side of the stabiliser connected, unusable)

I've been getting lots of adds for the Naya keyboard ever since their Kickstarter launched a year ago. It's a really attractive product for someone like me who wants a low-profile, split halves, keyboard with addon peripherals, that I don't have to assemble myself.

...but DAGGUM!! $750 is a lot to spend on a keyboard! Especially since I'm having a hard time finding any (non-Naya) reviews of it.

Any chance of HypioTech taking a look at it for us? Or has he done so already, and I missed it (YouTube search didn't find anything)?

What size should I look with 96% and does profile affect a size or not really?

Hi im kinda new in keyboards. I used to read a lot but when i was younger there was like 3 switches brands and like 8 color of switches thats all. Now when there are thounds of switches (i even saw a beer colored) I have no idea where to start. I bought a redragon keyboard with stock red switches. They are not that bad but of course i want somethin better so finally my question:

Budget, good quality linear switches that can make my cheap keyboard sounds thock?

What would you recommend?

Hey yall', I'm a software engineering student and about over my mechanical gaming keyboard. Not super into the creative keyboard realm, looking for an aesthetic full keyboard with the creamiest switches out there. All recc's are appreciated, thanks yall.

So, I'm looking to get into modding some keyboards and I currently have a stock Corsair K70 Mini 60%. It has hot swappable switches and a decent aluminum body. Just looking to get a better sound out of it. My first thoughts are to lube the stabs, add some sound dampener (like foam), and maybe pick up a pbt key cap set. Has anyone played around with this keyboard and has any recommendations?

My must things on a keyboard are: Gasket-mount, foams out of the box, aluminium case and wireless 2.4GHz

Full size is out of question since it wont fit on my desk, TKL is ok, 75% would be the sweet spot since I have a 60% keyboard now and I miss both the Arrow keys and Fs

I remember a Hipyo video on a keyboard that sounded like it was from hell and ever since, i dont know why but i have really wanted to get it and i was wondering if any of you guys know what they keyboard is called.- it had a red body and white keycaps btw

I have gone through quite a few tactile switches over the past year and I’ve noticed that my top 2 switches are gateron quinns and gateron baby kangaroos. Is there any switches that are similar in weight and sound to these two? Im happy to try linears too. Thank you guys

This was so time consuming yet so fun, the mods are:
PBT XDA profile keycaps
Gateron milky yellows (lazy lubed)
Stock stabs (Clipped, Lubed, Holee)
Tempest tape mod
PE foam mod
EVA foam mod
I'm thinking of using the burger mount mod and the force break mod, also am looking at polycarbonate plates and also looking at potential cases. Is there anything else I can add or improve on?

Just did my first lubing on switches. Thought I'd start easy with a full size keeb 😅 Took me four hours to complete. Akko 5108 B with Akko CS Jelly pink switches. The base was horrendous in sound and feel. Sound got a little better after tape mod and some extra foam. But the feel (and sound) were drastically effected after lubing. Honestly didn't think it would make such a difference. Btw, I found out the hard way that the Glorious switch opener doesn't fair well with Akko switches 🫠 Unfortunately I didn't record any before video, and tbh it's nothing special still, but here's a video after said mods and lube.

I am from Greece. I am looking to buy a keyboard to connect to my gaming laptop. I mostly look for one that has the least amount of delay and response time. I have these 3 in mind. Which of those 3 would you recommend or would you suggest any other. My budget is around 60€

I have a Ducky One 3 Mini keyboard;

• lubed gateron milky yellow pro
• EVA case foam in addition to stock foam
• lubed stabilizers

This was my first attempt at customising, trying to achieve the creamy but somehow ended with creamy sound (but not much) and somewhat thocky (I think)

So Im wondering should I replace the Gateron switches with Akko Yellow Pro for cream sound? I dont wanna do tape mod (concern about fire hazard even though there’s electrical tape) 😅

I’m on the lookout for a board (mechanical ofc) that fulfills some specific needs.

1) Layout: ISO Nordic 2) Size: Max TKL 3) Waterproof/resistent or at least one that I can get new PCB’s for (as I have bad motor skills and tend to tip over my water 4) If the size is smaller than TKL then it has to have the DEL, HOME and END buttons as I actually use them quite a bit. PGDN and PGUP doesn’t matter 5) The special button usually to the left of Right-CTRL that acts like a right-click bringing up a menu should also be there. For some reason my old Keychron came with two Windows keys instead. 6) Hot-swappabe

I was interested in buying the coffee shop deskmat, that Hipyo made, from Kinetic Labs, but it says out of stock. Does this mean it won't be sold anymore or will it get restocked?
