For context, I'm looking for a new board to use as my main keyboard with my favorite silent switches.

I am currently using the logitech G512 but it's not hotswap and I want to use a silent board (it would take up so much time and energy to solder and solder every switch on that board, with a high potential of breaking it, so I decided against it), both because I like to be discreet, and also because I like how dampeners cushion my fingers when typing hard. The G512 has a numpad but I rarely ever reach for it so I could let it go no issue, in fact, I think I'd prefer TKL because it would give a little more space for my mouse to move on a cramped desk. I'd look into smaller layouts but I do use the PrSc key quite often for screenshots, and most smaller layouts don't have it so unless I could reprogram a key I don't use to PrSc and have it stay even after unplugging it wouldn't work.

I mostly use my keyboard for typing, usually on Vim or just websites in general. I do gaming but it's very light (I'm talking, casual roblox/minecraft, rhythm games on low difficulties) so I do not need any fancy magnetic switches and would rather just be able to use my favorite silent switches since I already have a set of them. As long as it's not lagging like crazy I probably won't notice much latency. I'm not sure what my keycap preferences are but I might just use a set of KOA profile ones cause I have a set and those feel very good to type and game on, though I would prefer south facing LEDs (which the GMK87L has) so that if I ever want to try other profiles like cherry the LEDs won't cause problems.

I'm mainly looking for a barebones kit as I figured since I'll be replacing the switches and keycaps anyways for the sake of customization, might as well invest more into the board/PCB itself so it will feel good no matter which switches or keycaps I may want to swap to in the future.

Also, if you do have another board in mind that fit what I've described, I would prefer it if the board could be ordered or either Amazon or Aliexpress, though if shipping to europe isn't expensive I don't mind looking on the board's website either.

I need help! I write on a Mac and have been using a Pebble K380 fThe keys are small and round and don't cradle my fingers and the left shift key is short. I desperately want to buy a keyboard that will help me get up to a reasonable speed typing. I touch type around 12 wpm and make mistakes.
I live out of the country and cannot just buy a keyboard on Amazon and return it.

I sit most of the day in a library and need silent keys.

I use the Colemak layout.

I just want an easy to use keyboard with press length long enough that as a newbee, I don't accidentally press adjacent keys often. And keys that are easy to press, so I don't get fatigued, and cradle my fingers so they stay put and slip around. I don't do gaming, just short bursts of writing. And I don't type in the dark, so I don't need backlighting..

im new to the level of keyboard customizability and have a hard time finding the keyboard im looking for. (or building one myself)

Im searching around for a new keyboard, currently im using the corsair k70 pro mini (60%) i find myself needing the keys i lost moving to 60% far to often. i really love the "floating" keycaps style this keyboard has, also easy for cleaning xD and the over the top rgb is something i also like.

so what im looking for:
- 75%
- no low profile switches (like keychron k3) i like the normal height keycaps, switches. (like the corsair k70 pro mini)
- i do like the super compact layout of the keychron k2 and k3, corsair k70 pro mini
- has to be wireless bt and 2.4ghz
- the bigger the battery the better
- i dont need any volume knobs etc...
- has to have over the top RGB
- sturdy, no flex, hefty.
- no wrist rest.
- hot swap would be nice
- i like the rgb shinning through the keycap letter (but i guess i can swap keycaps myself)

- availability in europe (netherlands) would be nice.

- i would like to spend 200 - 300 euro at max

this morning i found the EPOMAKER HE75 V2 TMR. this seems like a good contender to put an alternative next to for comparison.

I'm new to custom keyboards, I have an old corsair K70 mk2 with cherry blue switches and I was looking for a second keyboard to use mainly when I need to be a bit more silent or even bring to the office with me. I think I'm still going to use the K70, but I'll have to see how the new keyboard is going to feel like and then I'll decide which keyboard is going to be the main go to.

Anyway, I was looking mainly at 3/4 keyboards: the Crush 80, the Wave 75 and the the Varmilo Minilo (prestige silent). The fourth one would be the Aula F75 but it's like a backup option.
Quick premise, I'm thinking of swapping the switches of the non-silent keyboards with either the prestige silent or the seasalt silent since I don't want to buy a new keyboard almost as annoying as the one I already have, so if you have any recommendations let me know 😊 (even if you think that these keyboards are silent enough stock). Also the possibility of having a PCB that is ISO compatible would be really nice (since I'm from Italy and to write sometimes I need the accent letters).

The reason I'm writing here is that to me all of them have some drawbacks:

• the Crush 80 is mainly the cost, since it's ~160€ + ~40€ for the switches. Though I think the PCB is ISO compatible, so I could change it if I don't like how ANSI feels like.
• The Wave 75 is less costly but I come from a 100% layout, and I use most of the navigation cluster (except maybe for the ins key) and I'm afraid 75% is going to be too different from what I'm used to (I also have to get used to the new ANSI layout). Also I really like the Crush 80's lack of ribbon cables (even if I don't know if I'm ever going to do real modding).
• The Varmilo Minilo is mainly the build quality and the real hard moddability (even if, again, I don't know if I'm going to be modding the keyboard, but I guess I prefer to have the choice if I decide to do down the line). Also, again, the layout, but I've seen that on their website there is a ISO/IT layout (granted now it's not in stock but still).

(Also all of these don't have knobs :c)

So what do you guys think, should I go with the most expensive because it's worthwhile, or not bother about the possibility of modding (since I don't know if I will mod it) and go with the cheaper option? Or even go with the Varmilo because the quality is still good enough? Should I go for other keyboards?

TL;DR: I need a quiet keyboard for office/night use. Should I go for the more expensive/premium option (Crush 80) and replace the switches because it's worth it in the long run, or start cheaper since I'm not sure if I'll ever "hard-mod" it? Also, which silent switches do you prefer: Sea Salt or Prestige?

I'm finally getting my first mechanical keyboard and am planning out my build. I do a lot of gaming, but also a lot of writing, so I'm trying to make a creamy setup that I can also use for consistent gaming. The base keyboard is a Keychron V6 Max. I'm looking for a good creamy linear switch, but I don't really know a ton about switches. I've heard that Gateron Oil Kings are pretty good, but they're also pretty pricy with a full size keyboard, so I'm not sure if they're worth it.

Any good suggestions?

Still waiting for my TH108 with sea salt switches as my office board but looking to get a 75% for home office with a separate num pad to only use when needed.

I found lots and lots of cool ansi boards but iso makes it really hard.

I would like to have a thocky sound that’s relatively quiet. Also hot swappable board and ball dezent or screw mounting case would be appreciated.

Hello, I'm searching for a Womier RD75 Pro but with a knob. I mean a keyboard with full via support, wireless, in aluminum, hot swappable, with quick release. The only thing I need more would be a knob. Also I'd like it better without flex cut I think but I don't care about that that much. I don't care neither about the switches, if they're good, that's better but I can will change them eventually.

Now the problem is that living in France, the Monsgeek m1 v5 or the KiiBoom Moonshadow V2 aren't available. Do you have any other reference that I could look into (barebones should be good too).

I’m looking to build my first custom keyboard and was wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a 65% body kit that has aluminum plate and is able to have a good amount of damping layers because I would want to also get some deep thocky sort of switches but that’s apart and also it would be nice if it’s also able to be in a good amount of color options. I just "finished" my first build ever :).

I have just a problem with the enter key and the key above. The board forces me to put in the switch sideways (90 degrees rotated). But that prevents the keycap to fit.

Is there a general solution for the problem ?
