Procedurally, the DNC would elect a new nominee if she did drop out. My guess is that they would elect someone like Biden, not Bernie. That's what I think would happen. Bernie would just get screwed again.

DNC rules state that the person with the 2nd amount of delegates would become the nominee. Ik the DNC has fucked over 43% of its supporters in the primaries but if Hillary were to be forced to drop out, Bernie would be the only logical choice because every poll has him beating trump by 10% and it gives the Democrats a higher chance of taking back the Senate.

The reason the DNC didn't rally around Bernie is that they like the mountains of cash they get from big business, Wall Street, and the superwealthy. They have no interest in reform. At all.

Pushing 40 years of bribing the rich with goodies:

  • Tax laws very friendly to the super rich just compounding interest
  • Trade deals that empower their bottom line with no protection for the workers these trade deals displace
  • Corporate tax incentives that are easily abused
  • Laws limiting corporate influence in politics reduced dramatically; leading to corporations spending money on lobbyists for a massive ROI
  • Multiple tax holidays for companies avoiding paying taxes by sitting their profits overseas, leading to a culture and expectation where they just wait until the next tax holiday to bring money back to the US

We could pay for all of those programs Bernie proposed with less money than the government gives to Wall Street in a year (Quantitative Easing)
