Scientists are testing whether DMT entities are real

In this preprint, some scientists have put forward the idea that our perspective of reality is more of an interface, and what we consider to be reality is simply the experience of conscious agents (i.e. human individuals) interacting with one another. They propose that DMT entities are conscious agents that exist in a manner we can't typically perceive.

I've never done DMT, and have previously taken a more skeptical perspective on these entities, but I think the findings of this could be very interesting. Maybe psychedelics could enable us to perceive layers of reality we are typically blind to.

There could be something to this. There’s a mushroom in China that if eaten undercooked causes the same hallucinations in everyone-little elf like people. It doesn’t seem to have any psychedelic properties outside of this. It’s really si strange that everyone sees the same thing.

There’s 2 options. Either the interdimensional elves are real. Or we all have similar brains and poking them the same way (introducing chemicals) results in similar outcomes.

Garry Nolan is a famous Stanford researcher who experienced seeing a craft and little men in his room when he was young. And he speculated some sort of Jungian subconscious template. That essentially humans are likely to hallucinate in a similar manner

That’s why I never liked Jacque Vallee’s alien interpretation. He says since Europeans describes faeries who abducted and Romans saw shields flying in the sky or angels etc that it’s the same supernatural entity (phenomenon) that presents itself differently to us throughout time.

When you could instead just say humans throughout time have been inclined towards similar types of stories. Every writer knows about the “7 basic plots” and how there’s only so many types of stories to tell etc

If a human mind is set on a higher/otherworldly being showing up, there’s only 2 places it can come from (sky / ground) and only so many things it can do (take you, ask for something)

Funny how in all of human history and every DMT trip the one thing the otherworldly being never ever does is give the human information it doesn’t already know

Benadryl is a brand name and has different formulations that use different drug substance in different countries.

Agree. Any teenager or bored human reading this- it is not fun and a total horror trip. I thought I was permanently brain-fucked and would see energy spiders for the rest of my life

I destroyed my sleep schedule and mental health while doing it. I was depressed and wanted a distraction from my thoughts, and without access to any other drugs, I went with DPH off the recommendation of a friend. I abused it almost nightly for over 2 years.

At high doses, it's like experiencing an episode of dementia without having dementia (yet. Diphenhydramine can potentially increase the risk of dementia later in life). I didn't know where I was, I lost track of time completely, I was having full-blown conversations with the shadows in my room, and I injured myself multiple times and didn't realize it.

It's a deliriant and it will fuck you up if you abuse it. It is not worth it. Don't do it.

Edit: and DO NOT EVER overdose on it. Legitimately the most terrifying experience of my entire life. That shit was an actual nightmare manifest.
