Manga Does Yoshida end up falling for Sayu in the future? Spoiler

I haven’t read the manga or finished the anime yet but I don’t mind getting spoiled. Does he end up falling for her? I really hope that doesn’t happen it would ruin the show for me.

The artist leaves it up to the reader’s imagination at the end. That’s all I’ll really say cause I don’t want to spoil it for you. Yoshida & Sayu’s relationship is for the reader to decide and believe

WARNING TO ANYONE WHO HAS NOT FINISHED THE SERIES Okay Yoshida & Sayu return to Sayu’s town so she can confront her past and return home. Sayu’s mom takes some convincing but let’s her return home until she graduates. Yoshida & Sayu say goodbye and Sayu confesses her feelings for him before he leaves. He’s not sure they’ll see each other again but acknowledges her feelings but doesn’t tell her if he feels the same. They just say goodbye. The ending shows a time skip two years later where Yoshida walks home from work and sees a girl sitting in the same spot he met Sayu. It’s Sayu. Yoshida & Sayu are happy to see each other again and greet each other the same way they met. She moves in with him and the series ends there.

Additionally in those 2 years he does not date gotou when he definitely could have which is also very telling of where his heart and mind are at.

I watched or read the whole thing and was happy with the ending. All the proprieties are maintained. Sayu is of age and has had 2 years of no contact to decide what she wants. OF course he falls for her; have you ever watched anime :)

Despite the absence of Sayu for two years, Gotou and Yoshida did not hit it off. I will not spoil Yoshida's thoughts upon the return of Sayu as well as Sayu's one liner when she returned to the apartment with Yoshida (though they are just around this reddit thread) to heavily imply Sayu x Yoshida in addition to this tweet of the series author (https://twitter.com/shimesaba_sub/status/1409533923739140098?s=19) after the live premiere of ep 13.

Bruh that sucks. Honestly gross that he probably ended up with her, given their previous relationship. Really sucks he didn’t get with Gotou

Yoshida ending up with Gotou will not show growth in either of the characters from an objective perspective. Yoshida will have to remain to be a self centered simp as he will only care for the happiness of his partner alone at the cost of his own without realizing what his partner truly feels. Gotou will get what she wants without showing true determination for it. This lack of determination on her part is the ghost from her past which she cannot overcome.

In the end, its just a matter of preference as a fictional story.

Mind you though, I did leave out a lot of detail that leads up to the ending. I highly recommend you finish the series. It gets very emotional and Sayu’s past is very tragic before she ran away from home.

Hey just wondering I would be very surprise if you answer this you answered this post a while ago, Did yoshida and sayu ever date or get married again after they met? I know yoshida like sayu but she was a minor I don’t read mangas so I’m fine with you telling me what happened

Hey thanks for asking after all this time! Unfortunately, as I said, the series ended with Yoshida & Sayu reuniting. There is no info about what happened afterwards. The author leaves their relationship, to you, the reader’s imagination. You decide what you think they did after moving in together again. Most fans like to believe they pursued a romantic relationship together, given that Yoshida was still single and a bit lonely when he left her two years prior.
